Biography

Life-altering Mishap

In 2001, Demi Bagby was born in San Diego, where she has resided ever since. She played cheerleading and soccer regularly as a child because she loved sports.

However, Demi broke her back in a freak cheerleading accident in 2014 as a result. She was consequently rendered paralyzed for three months and faced the possibility of never being able to walk again.

Demi was devastated and experienced a severe confidence blow. As a result, her days as a cheerleader came to an abrupt end.

Getting Up Again

Demi struggled mightily to get better after suffering a back injury. But she did prevail one day. She disproved the claims of all the doctors who said she would never walk again.

Just a year after her injury, Demi underwent a miraculous recovery that eventually allowed her to start pursuing her CrossFit dreams.

Demi started bodyweight training at this point to achieve her ideal physique. She soon started working on building her body by doing strength exercises like pull-ups.

She encountered a difficulty though. Things weren’t quite going her way because she wasn’t initially able to complete some exercises.

She was able to start performing more difficult movements, like muscle ups, though, thanks to her perseverance.

Demi was instantly more motivated to get in shape after that. She saw this feeling of increased motivation as the ideal opportunity to keep moving forward.
