Biography of Greg Plitt

From High School Wrestler to Airborne Ranger

Greg began his fitness career as a wrestler in high school but later looked to his elder sister for motivation when she enrolled in the U.S. Naval Academy.

Greg claimed that he was motivated to go to the Naval Academy by witnessing the changes in his sister, who underwent rigorous academic, military, and athletic requirements and transformed into a person of strength and respect.

He, who graduated from high school with a 4.0 GPA and had a promising future in school wrestling, decided that the Navy would be the best place for him to follow in his sister’s footsteps and achieve greatness.

Greg was approached by West Point, a U.S. Military Academy, after the drawn-out and difficult selection process of the congressional appointment by the Naval Academy, which saw his full potential.

A Real Character Test

Greg was urged to pursue a career in the U.S. Navy and to stay away from West Point because it was too distant from home. After all, he didn’t want to be apart from his sister and family.

He would be able to feel the support and comfort of home just a short distance away if he chose the Naval Academy over the Military.

He completed his studies at West Point and entered the U.S. Army Infantry as a Second Lieutenant.

After serving for a further five years both domestically and abroad, Greg ended his career as an Army Captain and Airborne Ranger.
