You can prepare this dish up to 48 hours ahead of time (keep the topping separately), then bake it right before serving.

How to Prepare Chicken with Poppies
Poppy seed chicken is simple to prepare a dish that everyone will love!
- The onion is softened with butter. put flour in (per the recipe below).
- Cream and broth should be whisked until thick and creamy. Add cream cheese and stir.
- Sprinkle the topping after combining the remaining ingredients.

Ingredients
- 3 cups chicken cooked and shredded
- 1 ½ tablespoons poppy seeds
cream sauce
- 1 onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup light cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- ⅓ cup sour cream
topping
- ½ cup crushed cornflakes or buttery round crackers
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions for Poppy Seed Chicken
- Turn on the 375°F oven.
- Onion, garlic, and poultry seasoning should be cooked in butter over medium heat until soft. Cook the flour for
- 1–2 minutes. Once the cream and broth have been fully incorporated, stir until smooth. Cream cheese and sour cream should be added and cooked until smooth and melted.
- Chicken, poppy seeds, cream sauce, and salt and pepper to taste are combined when the heat is turned off.
- Cover an 8×8 serving plate with the mixture. Mix the ingredients for the topping, then sprinkle it over top.
- 20 to 25 minutes of baking, or until hot and bubbling
- Serve with spaghetti or rice.
