Raspberry mimosas are a lovely cocktail to enjoy on any special occasion, including Mother’s Day, Sunday brunch, and Valentine’s Day.
Sparkling champagne or sparkling wine is poured over a mixture of raspberry liqueur and cold pomegranate ice cubes. There are hints in the notes to make it into an enjoyable mocktail without alcohol.
An Elegant Take on Mimosas
- Traditional mimosas are made with orange juice, sparkling wine, or champagne; this variation contains pomegranate and raspberry flavors.
- This flavorful champagne cocktail has a lovely tint and is ideal for Valentine’s Day!
- This beverage is sweetened by the wonderful raspberry-flavored liqueur Chambord.
- Since this is a blended beverage, cheap sparkling wine is ideal.
For the ideal attractive glass, add raspberries and pomegranate arils as a garnish.
A Raspberry Mimosa Recipe
Traditionally, champagne and orange juice are used to make mimosas. I’ve substituted raspberry and pomegranate juice for the orange juice in this simple champagne cocktail to create a lovely beverage to sip.
- Create ice cubes out of pomegranate or cranberry juice to keep the beverage cold and maintain its lovely appearance. (Fun tip: See if you can find some heart-shaped ice cube trays at the dollar shop.)
- Every glass should have a sugar rim around the top.
- Add some raspberry liqueur as directed in the recipe below, then pour bubbly on top!
Quick Advice
- Add around an ounce of cooled pomegranate juice in their place if you’re short on time or didn’t manufacture ice cubes.
- Each sip is made sweeter by the attractive sugar rim around the top of each glass.
- For any event, you can use plain sugar, colored sugar, or a combination of both.
- Look for adorable stirrers, straws, or even champagne flutes at your neighborhood dollar store.
How to Make Pomegranate Mocktails Out of This!
It’s simple to create a mocktail (or non-alcoholic variant) of this delightful beverage. Simply replace another sweetened carbonated beverage for the champagne (such as ginger ale or club soda).
The fizzy fizz in this mocktail is the best part! So, whichever carbonated beverage you choose, both young and old will enjoy it greatly.
