Who is Jeff Poulin?

The 1994 IFBB North American Bodybuilding Champion, Jeff Poulin, is a former professional bodybuilder from the United States.

Short Career of Jeff Poulin

Jeff Poulin began his path into professional bodybuilding when he was 18 years old. He initially participated in regional competitions in Florida, where he gained some expertise and a reputation among other bodybuilders.

Jeff didn’t really “burst” onto the bodybuilding scene, though, until 1994, when he took first place at the IFBB North American Championships and earned his Pro Card.

Despite his early bodybuilding success, Jeff’s professional career was short-lived. Jeff competed for three more years after joining the professional circuit before giving up the sport.

Despite the briefness of Jeff’s professional bodybuilding career, the bodybuilding community will never forget him.

Among “old-school” bodybuilding fans, his amazing physique and his early successes as a teen bodybuilder are still hot topics of discussion.

Jeff Poulin frequently tried to modestly increase his maximum weight or number of repetitions each week throughout his “mass-gaining period.”

For instance, Jeff might strive to increase his maximum squat by 5 pounds each week if he wanted to bulk up his legs. He would gradually become considerably larger in this manner.

Nutrition

Typically, Jeff Poulin would have a diet that was low in carbohydrates and rich in protein and fat. He would only eat more carbohydrates after a strenuous workout because that is when his muscles needed glycogen the most.

Although Jeff frequently modified his diet, as he put it, “to avoid the monotony,” his macronutrient ratio remained the same, with protein, carbohydrates, and fats being divided in the ratio of 40:20:40.

Lean meats, fruits, vegetables, and a lot of nuts were the kinds of foods Jeff frequently consumed.

He also enjoyed going without food for a few hours in the morning to “clean out” any potential toxins from his body.
