Joe joined the all-star Ivy League American football team by the time he started college.

“I had a good run,” the former Penn football player said. “I won numerous Ivy League titles there, and I carried that team mindset into the real world.”

Over time, the injuries increased in frequency and severity, causing Joe to give up his beloved sport.

Form Before Weight

Joe Holder used to enjoy doing heavyweights in college, but now his major priorities are his form and intensity.

Even while he still uses heavy weights in some of his micro-cycles, his top priorities are health and injury avoidance.

In Joe’s own words: “Football beat me up; now for me, strength training is about preventing injuries. I don’t do a lot of heavy lifting because I did enough of it in college, but I do include micro-cycles in my workouts.

However, I’m very interested in conditioning because I believe it can be used to develop a kind of metabolic resistance adaption without using Olympic lifts, where form might be unclean. Jo Holder

Full-Body Weight Training

Nutrition, (Fitness)

Joe Holder only consumes vegan food. In other words, he does not consume any animal products.

He serves as an example of how a diet high in whole grains, nuts, seeds, vegetables, fruits, and other plant-based goods can nevertheless make you seem powerful, lean, and muscular.
