Like other cookies, these are manufactured in a conventional manner.

  1. Butter, sugar, and eggs are blended (recipe below)
  2. Add the dry ingredients.
  3. Make balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar.

The snickerdoodles should be baked until the edges barely begin to brown. You don’t want to bake them too long.

Ingredients

  • 2 ⅔ cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⅓ cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  1. Set the oven to 400 °F.
  2. Salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cream of tartar, and flour should all be combined. Place aside.
  3. Eggs, butter, and sugar are combined with a mixer on medium speed. Add flour mixture and stir.
  4. For the topping, combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Roll each piece of dough into a ball after dividing it into 32 pieces. In a cinnamon-sugar mixture, roll the balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  5. 8–10 minutes of baking.
