Meatloaf cooked in an air fryer is incredibly juicy, cooks in a fraction of the time, and is simple to clean up.

A delightful zesty topping is placed on top of this meatloaf, which is made out of a combination of meat and seasonings.

Why Prepare Meatloaf in an Air Fryer?

We adore this air fryer rendition of the traditional meatloaf for a quick weekday meal.

  • Compared to an oven recipe, this can be baked roughly half the time.
  • The meat doesn’t cook in the fat because the fat drops away into the pan.
  • two smaller meatloaves are produced, making them easier to handle (and you get more of the crispy edges)
  • Cleaning up is simple. (I use a Cosori 5.8QT XL, which I quickly rinse before putting in the dishwasher.)

SEASONINGS & BINDER Italian spice, Parmesan cheese, milk, and egg yolk are all combined with breadcrumbs.

How to Make Meatloaf in an Air Fryer?

A great meal may be prepared in just a few simple steps by using an air fryer to make meatloaf.

  • After combining all the ingredients, form two loaves of the same size (per the recipe below).
  • Meatloaves should be cooked for around 20 minutes in an air fryer basket.
  • Add the topping and cook the meatloaf for an additional 15 minutes, or until it reaches 165°F.

Meatloaves should be taken out of the air fryer and given 5 minutes to rest before slicing.

Recipe Advice

  • Just incorporate the meat without overmixing.
  • Before inserting the meatloaf into the air fryer, preheat it.
  • Use an instant-read thermometer to check the interior temperature of the meatloaf to make sure it reaches 165° F because air fryers might vary.
  • To make sure the meatloaf doesn’t overcook, check it early. If necessary, extend the time.
  • To prevent it from crumbling when being sliced, let the meatloaf rest.
  • Reheat leftovers in the microwave or an air fryer after storing them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
