We enjoy these flavorful homemade meatballs in a meatball sub or with our preferred pasta sauce!

Juicy Air Fryer Meatballs are a crowd-pleaser thanks to the ground beef and pork that are mixed with our favorite Italian-inspired spices! Utilize the air fryer to reduce time, cleanup, and even calorie consumption!

Meatballs in an air fryer

Meatballs cooked in an air fryer have a crispy outside and juicy interior.

These meatballs will cook in almost the same amount of time as boiling spaghetti in an air fryer (I have one here). If you reheat some marinara sauce, you can make the ideal spaghetti and meatballs meal.

These meatballs are delicious as an appetizer or for a snack in addition to dinner.

Variations and Ingredients

MEAT Any fantastic meatball recipe must start with the meat! The ideal flavor combination of ground pig and beef ensures that they are juicy.

SEASONINGS Our preferred seasonings are Italian, Parmesan, and onion powder.

Since they cook quickly and raw onion might not have enough time to fully cook through, I prefer using onion powder in this recipe.

BREADCRUMBS & EGG All the pieces are held together by egg and breadcrumbs.

How to Cook Meatballs in an Air Fryer?

  1. Bring all the ingredients together.
  2. Form and set in the basket of the air fryer.
  3. Cook as directed by the recipe below.
  4. Before serving, let the meatballs a few minutes to rest.

What to serve with meatballs from the air fryer?

It’s simple to add fresh or frozen meatballs to stews or soups. In our spaghetti carbonara or Italian wedding soup, we adore them to the hilt. Be sure to include some Cheesy Breadsticks. Dinner is ready when you toss a colorful salad together!

Leftovers

Meatballs can be stored in the freezer for up to a month and in the refrigerator for up to 4 days when placed in an airtight bag or container.

Meatballs can be heated up again by microwaving them for a minute at a time on high power or by placing them on a baking sheet and broiling them for a few minutes to restore their crispness.

  5. Meatballs should be cooked for 12 to 14 minutes, or until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. 3 minutes should pass before serving.

Notes

Due to the tiny variations among air fryers, check your meatballs a few minutes early to make sure they don’t overcook.

The middle of the meatballs must be 165°F.
