Biography

Young Years

Georgia, USA, is where Margie V. Martin was born and reared. She had always pictured herself as a formidable figure while living in the city of Atlanta. She would observe the female characters on “American Gladiators” and other shows, wanting could be just like them.

When she first met Lee Haney as a young teen at church, she became interested in bodybuilding.

She questioned the eight-time Mr. Olympia and IFBB Pro about what it required to develop such a physique, and he spoke with her about his diet for a short while.

Learning About Bodybuilding

After having this chat, she developed a strong desire to pursue bodybuilding and develop a lean physique. Fortunately for her, a bodybuilding club had just started at her high school, and she quickly joined.

Margie entered the classroom and saw she was the only girl there. She laughed at the fact that she was stronger than some of the boys and seemed to enjoy this.

Enlisting in the US Marines

Throughout high school, she persisted in bodybuilding, improving her figure, and learning about a healthy diet and nutrition. She thought about a job in the military because she loved living an active lifestyle.

Because of her father’s military service, Margie felt that joining the Marine Corps was an obvious choice.

She went to an interview, was accepted into the corps, and immediately saw this as a fantastic opportunity for her to improve her level of fitness.

Hobby Career

She was able to advance to the rank of sergeant as her marine corps career progressed. She decided that she could win competitions at this time because she had developed an exceptional physique.

At this point, she had also relocated to Okinawa in Japan. where the military regularly held bodybuilding competitions at the facility.

She claims that until her coworkers started encouraging her to compete in local bodybuilding competitions, she had no idea how to prepare for a competition by dieting.

Because of this, she had canned tuna and string beans every day for six weeks before her event in 2007.

Although she finished fifth in this competition, she still did rather well in the Far East Armed Forces Bodybuilding Competition.

Margie admitted that although she was “as smooth as a baby’s bottom” on the day of the presentation, she was “pretty happy” with her performance.

Knowing How to Succeed

Margie didn’t have the best start, and things didn’t get much better over the following few years either.

At this point, Margie decided that she would have to put in more effort to develop her diet and exercise regimen if she wanted to achieve any results at all. She did exactly that, and she saw right away how her body was improving.

Margie participated in the 2012 NPC Pacific USA XVIII Championships and took first place. She was named the NPC’s “Athlete of the Month” at this crucial juncture in her career.

From that point on, Margie understood that her nutrition and regimen had to be flawless, with no room for error, for her to succeed at the professional level.

How She Got Her Pro Card?

Margie finished in first place overall and in the heavyweight division at the 2013 NPC USA Championships. It was an emotional occasion for her to obtain her Pro Card thanks to this victory because all of her hard work had paid off.

Margie made her IFBB Professional debut in the year after, in 2014. She participated in the 2014 IFBB Toronto Pro Supershow and finished fourth.

Although she would have preferred to have ranked higher, she was confident that with continued effort and commitment, her performance will improve.

She accomplished this, and Margie was successful in winning the second-place trophy at the 2014 IFBB Omaha Pro. She finished 10th in her first Ms. Olympia after qualifying, but she won big in Tampa.

She triumphed against tough opposition and won her first IFBB Pro competition at the 2015 IFBB Wings of Strength PBW Tampa Pro.

Margie V qualified for the IFBB Wings of Strength Rising Phoenix World Championships thanks to this victory, which she also achieved. She adopted the name “Miss Rising Phoenix” as a result, and she used it for many years.

Studying for a Master’s Degree

After this amazing career, Margie decided to transfer her practical expertise to the classroom. She balanced her household responsibilities with her master’s degree in sports medicine.

She relished the opportunity to combine her interest in nutrition and medicine with a scientific study during every moment of this course.

Training

Large Lifting

Margie enjoys lifting as much weight as she can. She lifts heavy to develop a physique befitting a true bodybuilder because she isn’t concerned with having a beach figure.

Additionally, she performs as many reps as she can for as long as she can go without giving out. Because she works out alone and keeps doing drop sets until she can no longer lift, Margie refers to herself as the “Drop-set Queen.”

Cardio

Margie doesn’t feel the need to engage in cardiac exercises very frequently.

She claims that her exercises provide a cardiac workout in and of itself and that she needs to maintain as much body weight as she can. She uses the treadmill or jogs outside to complete her cardio workouts.

What Margie V. Martin Can Teach Us?

Margie’s tale has demonstrated to us that winning first-place awards always requires years of practice.

She trained for a decade and failed to place on the podium numerous times before she finally succeeded in winning her first IFBB competition in 2014.

It could be helpful to think of your fitness objective as a distant dream if you have one.

You can develop yourself to the point where that objective can be attained one day if you concentrate on what you can accomplish right now.
