Angel Ortiz, a politician from Puerto Rico who made history by becoming the first Latino member of the Philadelphia City Council, and his housewife mother Kathleen Kulhman reared Ana in New York City. Lydia Pilar Ortiz is Ana’s sister, while Angel Omar Ortiz is her brother.
