Do you want to recreate Taco Bell’s nacho cheese sauce at home?
Whether you’re craving cheesy fiesta potatoes, nachos, or a cheesy burrito, this quick and easy copycat dish tastes just like the fast-food favorite.
This Taco Bell nacho cheese sauce recipe is a departure from my regular fare, but with Taco Bell discontinuing so many beloved things (Mexican pizza! Cheesy fiesta potatoes! ), I knew I had to make some copycats right once.
While this isn’t the healthiest cheese dip recipe on my blog, it will satisfy your fast food cravings. It’s also extremely simple to make (literally one step) and much healthier than Taco Bell’s powdered nacho cheese dip. (Just a thought.)
Why Is This Recipe So Delicious?
- Cheeze I know, I know. Whiz cheese dip. At 40 Aprons, this isn’t a common element. Prepackaged cheese dip, on the other hand, is the way to go if you want that authentic Taco Bell flavor.
- Pickled jalapeno juice – The brine from a jar of pickled jalapenos adds some heat and flavor to this sauce.
- Milk — Adds more creaminess to the cheese sauce.
For a little spicy spice, use as much or as little cayenne pepper as you desire.
How Do You Make It?
The whole recipe and ingredients list can be found below, but you can also find a fast explanation of how to make this recipe precisely, as well as helpful tips and information!
- In a small mixing dish, combine all of the ingredients.
- That’s it!
Chef’s Advice
- If you don’t have Cheeze Whiz on hand, any simple cheese dip will suffice.
- If you want your cheese sauce warm, microwave it for 15 seconds at a time, stirring in between.
- This cheese sauce goes well with tacos, quesadillas, tortilla chips, and even french fries.
