$2.50 RECIPE / $1.25 SERVING
Oh WOW. Noodles that are both easy and tasty should be prohibited.
My new favorite quick fix is spicy sriracha noodles! They take around 15 minutes to prepare and are extremely rich, savory, and spicy. Spicy in the sense of “burning a hole through your stomach.”
Call me weird, but I crave that sometimes. No, I really want that. So, here’s one for all of you heat-seekers!
RECIPE CHANGES IN SPICY SRIRACHA NOODLES
I didn’t need to make any changes to this recipe because it was already near-perfect, but I did make a few little adjustments. Because I wanted this to be closer to two servings, I added one extra egg.
I also increased the amount of sriracha (to 2 tablespoons from 1 tablespoon) since I wanted it to be hotter and have a little more sauce.
A GOOD FLAVOR BALANCE IS ESSENTIAL
Only pantry essentials (soy sauce, brown sugar, and sriracha) are used in this recipe’s simple sauce, which flawlessly balances the sweet, salty, and spicy flavors.
The butter’s richness helps to smooth things out, while the cilantro adds a fresh accent and the green onions add a savory back note. Everything just works, and it’s really straightforward. That is how I prefer my food.
WHERE SHOULD I GET MY NOODLES?
Don’t worry if you can’t find the same noodles I did. You may use regular linguine or instant ramen noodles to make this. All of the other delicious components are carried by the noodles!
CAN I ADD ANYTHING ELSE?
Want to take it to the next level? Pork and Peanut Dragon Noodles or Lime Shrimp Dragon Noodles are two of my Dragon Noodle variations.
Many readers have also said that they’ve added extra vegetables (try adding frozen stir fry vegetables), but if you’re adding a lot of extra vegetables, you’ll definitely want to double the sauce.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING SPICY SRIRACHA NOODLES
- Make the noodle sauce first. 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons sriracha (or 1 tablespoon, depending on your preference)
- Cook your noodles next. I used 3-4 minute lo mein noodles. You can use almost any sort of noodle for this, as they’re only a vehicle for the tasty sauce!
- In a bowl, lightly whisk two eggs while waiting for the water to boil for the noodles.
- 2 tbsp butter, heated in a skillet over medium while the noodles are boiling Scramble the eggs lightly with 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper and the whisked eggs. When they’re ready, take them off the heat. Make sure the eggs are not overcooked.
- When the noodles have been drained, combine them with the eggs in the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over them.
- Toss the noodles and eggs in the sauce until well covered.
- Sliced green onion and cilantro go on top of the noodles (optional).
Serve and have fun!
