The Royal family of England or the British royal family consists now of Queen Elizabeth and her very close relatives. They are the cultural icons of the UK.
Queen and the Royal family members are assigned duties they have to carry out including charity work. Queen Elizabeth is the Head of the household and the reigning queen.
She has four children with her late husband, Prince Philip. She has eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The main royal family comprises Queen Elizabeth II; Prince Charles, Prince of Wales; Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall; Prince William, Duke of Cambridge; Catherine or Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge; Princess Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. These perform royal duties on a full-time basis.
Fans are ever eager to know about the lifestyle of these members. Each has its way of living and eating. There are some bizarre eating habits of them. Read on to know them.
1. Prince Charles
The future king, Prince Charles opts to not have lunch. Instead, he has a late breakfast or brunch and later a delicious dinner. This is partly because he has a hectic work schedule daily.
He eats a lot of fresh and organic produce. Most of these come from his garden in Highgrove House. He has healthy and right food choices. Once he revealed to BBC:
“I haven’t eaten meat and fish on two days a week and I don’t eat dairy products on one day a week.”
“If more did that, you would reduce a lot of the pressure.”
2. Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge is fond of raw food. She adopts a healthy lifestyle that includes sports. Her food is mainly raw fruits and vegetables.
Daily Email UK revealed that at her breakfast, she takes a smoothie made from kale, matcha, spirulina, romaine, spinach, coriander leaves, and blueberries. Kate also loves raw salad made from avocado, watermelon, cucumber, onion, and feta cheese.
Duchess Kate has managed to keep her weight under control and remain fit and slim over the years despite having three kids.
3. Queen Elizabeth II
The Queen of England does not like to have more carbs in her daily diet. She likes to have low-carb foods, especially at dinner time. This was revealed by a former royal chef, Darren McGrady. Darren told The Telegraph in the past:
“When she dines on her own she’s very disciplined. No starch is the rule.”
“No potatoes, rice or pasta for dinner. Just usually something like grilled sole with vegetables and salad.”
4. No garlic rule
There is a rule in the Royal household that there should be no garlic in foods before official functions. This is due to the nasty breath that garlic produces.
This would be bad since the Royal members have to often meet and greet high dignitaries and people. Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall confirmed this point during her appearance on MasterChef Australia a few years ago. She had revealed:
“I hate to say this, but garlic. Garlic is a no-no.”

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and his younger brother, former Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry loved crispy skin-on chicken with mac and cheese.
The preparation was simple with salt on the chicken that was later roasted in the oven. This the brothers enjoyed with a side of sweet corn.
But when their nanny was at home, they had to take a bite of broccoli with every chicken bite they had. This was to ensure healthy eating in the young princes.
