Brown sweet grilled peaches are the ideal summertime treat since they are delicious, fresh, and simple to make.

Fresh peaches are grilled until soft after being coated with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Before serving, top with a dollop of vanilla ice cream!

This is a great option if you’re looking for a quick (and nutritious) dessert!

Peaches

For optimal results, select ripe, fresh peaches. To make the pit removal process as simple as possible, try to find peaches that are freestone.

Though tasty, Clingstone peaches have a challenging pit to remove (see notes on removing the pit below). Nectarines, plums, and apricots can all be grilled as well!

Sugar

We simply sprinkle a little butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top of these. The sugar sweetens and aids in the caramelization of the peaches’ glaze.
To create grilled peaches, slather peaches with butter and honey.

Variations

Any type of sweetener (such as honey or white sugar) and warm spices are acceptable additions. A little ginger or apple pie spice might work.

You may add some crunch to your grilled peaches by adding chopped, roasted pecans, walnuts, or even granola.

You can use a grill pan or even an air fryer if you don’t have a grill.

When melted over grilled peaches, whipped cream or even vanilla yogurt creates a delicious and creamy sauce. Place them in a bowl and top with some cinnamon or nutmeg.

How to Remove the Peach’s Pit

Begin with ripe but firm peaches. Ensure that they are dry and clean.

FREESTONE PEACH

  1. Along the peach’s seam, cut the fruit with a knife.
It will be simple to pull out the pit with your fingers after twisting it apart.

CLINGSTONE PEACH

The pit is more difficult to remove if it is a clingstone peach. Here’s a little tip I learned for getting the pit out with ease.

  1. Cut a cling peach in half, creating a top and bottom, to remove the pit (opposite of the natural line).
  2. To separate the halves, twist the peach. Remove the pit from one side of the fruit using a spoon or knife.

How to Grill Peaches

You can have grilled peaches on the table in under 10 minutes as a simple dessert.

  1. Medium-high heat should be set on a gas grill. Set the embers on a charcoal grill to medium heat.
  2. The brown sugar mixture in the recipe below should be brushed on the cut side of each peach half that has had the pit removed.
  3. Peaches should be grilled until they are soft and the sugar has caramelized, about 3 minutes with the cut side up and 3–5 minutes with the cut side down.

Tips for Grilled Peaches

With ice cream or other toppings, serve warm!

  • Peaches should be allowed to ripen on the counter (a ripe banana helps) before being put in the refrigerator.
  • Before putting peaches on the grill, preheat and clean the grates.
  • For serving, pour some honey over the ice cream.

Enjoy as a Dessert or…

With their sweet, buttery, and brown-sugary flavor, grilled peaches are a stand-alone food. They are deliciously served as a dessert on their own, drizzled with caramel sauce, or even topped with vanilla ice cream and mint sprigs!

With Pork: Peaches on the grill are a wonderful addition to any dinner! Put this dish next to some nice pork chops.

Make a Peach Salad: in the same vein as a strawberry spinach salad. Chop the grilled peaches when they have cooled slightly. Add some crisp pancetta, feta crumbles, and fresh spinach or arugula, and toss. Add a white balsamic vinaigrette to your outfit.

Leave off the sugar when preparing peaches as a salad topping or a side for grilled meat.

Peaches that are left over can be sliced and added to salads or reheated in the microwave.

To Get Rid of Peach Pits

Freestone

  • -Cut a slit along the peach’s seam using a knife.
  • Twist it to separate it so you can easily pull out the pit with your fingertips.

Clingstone The fruit “clings” to the pit if it is a clingstone peach.

  •  To get the pit out of a cling peach, cut it down the middle so there are top and bottom halves (opposite of the natural line).
  • Twist the peach to divide it into two pieces. Remove the pit from one side of the fruit using a spoon or knife.
