Who is Matt Fox?
Matt Fox is a father, a model for fitness, a specialist in bodyweight exercises, and a cancer survivor.
Matt has a lifelong obsession with participating in sports and physically challenging himself. He had begun his global travels as a professional athlete by the age of 15.
Then, at the age of 22, Matt’s career suffered a severe setback. Testicular carcinoma was identified as Matt Fox ailment.
In addition to overcoming his hardest struggle yet, Matt returned to full health. Matt also turned his love of exercise and bodyweight training into a successful company.

Biography
Matt’s Background In Sports
Matt Fox has a lengthy athletic resume. He participated in nearly every sport “under the sun” starting at age 6 and excelled in all of them.
“I participated in nearly every sport there was starting when I was approximately six years old, from basketball to athletics, swimming to long-distance running, and everything in between.
Matt was so outstanding that at the age of 15, while still playing the sport he loved, he had the opportunity to travel the globe.
“I was passionate about staying healthy and active and I loved being on the go.”
Cancer Is Detected
Over the years, Matt continued to have outstanding athletic performances, and his future appeared promising.
then, disaster struck.
He received a testicular cancer diagnosis when he was 22 years old. This required one round of chemotherapy in addition to surgery to remove the tumor.
The doctor I saw for a checkup informed me I was wasting my time by asking for a referral for an ultrasound because everything “felt fine.”
Even though I was aware that nothing was “fine,” I persisted and had an ultrasound (against his belief). The doctor later confirmed what I had already known. It turned out to be cancer.
The news saddened Matt greatly. He was a young guy in his prime, and not only was his health terrible but so was his self-esteem.
Chemotherapy
Even though Matt’s cancer diagnosis was frightening, he didn’t let the condition control him.
Being a fiercely competitive individual, he saw cancer as a test and a chance to develop into a stronger and better version of himself.
Here is Matt discussing his experience with chemotherapy: “I have two major memories from this time in my life that I think will stay with me forever.
The first is sitting in the big armchair with an IV drip pumping chemo drugs into me, and the burning sensation it gave my body as they did a “flush or blast” for the last few minutes of the treatment.
And two: two days after the therapy, I jumped on the exercise bike at my friend’s house, but I could only manage two minutes before feeling dizzy and ill. Matthew Fox
Sporting Events Are Over
After receiving the sickness diagnosis, Matt’s professional career came to an abrupt halt. Matt, who spent more than ten years training to become an athlete, found it difficult to accept this.
On the plus side, he was eventually able to recover from the disease and resume his normal state of health.
Finding The Gym Boring
Matt continued to be active even though he stopped participating in sports by going to the gym.
However, Matt rapidly grew weary of these monotonous activities.
Motivation stalled once more, he claimed, this time as a result of the same dull gym workouts, fighting for space on machines and other gym equipment in crowded facilities, paying for pricey lock-in contracts, and feeling confined by the need to spend all of his time indoors.
Matt’s physical appearance revealed his emotional state. No matter how hard he worked out at the gym, he noticed little to no benefits from his training.
Changing To Bodyweight Exercises
Matt wed his wife in 2016 and had a child. His ability to exercise was now constrained because he had a full-time job and a new family.
At this point, Matt decided to use the skills he had acquired as a top athlete to alter his body and health without spending hours in the gym.
Matt’s initial action was to give up weightlifting. Instead, he spent his time developing a company that instructs customers on how to become in shape solely through bodyweight workouts.
“I decided to use all I had learned over my seven years as a professional athlete and my additional ten years of training to help alter my fitness and to assist others to do the same through my training business.”

Matt has discovered a new sense of passion through bodyweight training. He no longer works out in the gym; instead, he trains wherever he likes, be it at home, on the beach, or in the neighborhood park.
His love of training has inspired him to start a successful business that educates people about the advantages of exercising regularly.
“I want to help and teach people that there are no barriers to using exercise to improve your quality of life and the lives of those around you.”
Everybody who hears Matt’s message is inspired, and he keeps spreading it far and wide.
Training
Bodyweight Exercise
According to Matt Fox, working out in the gym is not the only method to gain muscle. In fact, he no longer even visits the gym. He performs any activity he chooses with his own body.
Matt was concerned that he might lose muscle mass when he first stopped working out in the gym. But the complete opposite took place.
Matt stimulated more muscular growth and advanced his physique by imitating real-life movement patterns with bodyweight exercises. He stated:
“If you’ve hit a fitness wall, don’t be scared to try something different. The gym and weight lifting isn’t the only road.
Sure, it’s a terrific route, and I’m not disputing it gets people results, but there are other possibilities out there, like bodyweight training.” Matthew Fox
Swift Cardio vs. Steady Cardio
Matt has trained for many years, and his body has always responded better to brief, intensive workouts than to lengthy ones.
He will always pick HIIT over steady-state cardio because of this.
In Matt’s own words: “For me, sprints help me achieve better results in less time. Why wouldn’t you if you could accomplish the same task in 15 minutes as opposed to 45?
When I include sprint work 3–4 times a week, my physique completely transforms. I actually decrease it instead of hating on severe diets or even more cardio!
Nutrition
Vegetables And Meats
For the most of his life, Matt only ate meat.
However, he experimented with a plant-based diet for the first time around the summer of 2018 and was astounded by the results. Since then, he has been entirely vegan.
Matt doesn’t condemn any diets, but he felt “heavy and bloated” after eating meat. These issues vanished after he changed to a plant-based diet.
I adore being able to eat these meat substitute meals because they satisfy all of my cravings without leaving me feeling sluggish or bloated like I would otherwise.
Providers Of Food
Whole grains, legumes, nuts, leafy green vegetables, and fruits are now Matt’s primary food sources because he no longer consumes animal products.
Matt occasionally consumes tempeh or tofu as an additional protein source.
He also likes to eat vegan burgers, which are prepared from a variety of plant proteins such red kidney beans, soy, and peas. A vegan pizza is yet another of Matt’s go-to vegan “cheat dinners.” He stated:
“The vegan pizza tasted so wonderful, I was actually shocked. made in 10 minutes, had a significant protein boost, and contained 300 less calories overall.
I’m not trying to convince you to choose one over the other; I’m just showing you both possibilities. I’m sharing what I’m learning with everyone here about vegan options. Matthew Fox

One of the toughest, if not the toughest obstacle Matt had to endure was fighting cancer at the age of 22. But it helped shape him into the guy he is now.
Matt not only recovered from the awful disease. He also established a full-time company out of his love of health and fitness.
