Ingredients
- 12 ounces of medium pasta
- ½ pound Italian sausage or lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups pizza toppings see notes
- 14 ounces diced tomatoes drained
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 14 ounces of pizza sauce
- 2 cups marinara sauce or pasta sauce
- 3 cups mozzarella and cheddar blend shredded
- 1 cup pepperoni slices divided
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese shredded
Instructions
- Set the oven to 425 °F.
- As directed on the package, cook the pasta. Good drainage
- Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a pan while the pasta is cooking. Add salt and pepper, then drain the fat.
- Add the veggie toppings and simmer for a further 3–4 minutes, or until tender. Add the pizza sauce, marinara sauce, oregano, and Italian spice. 5 minutes of simmering
- Mix the sauce with the pasta.
- Top with the Mozza & Cheddar Blend and half of the Pepperoni in a greased 913 pan (and additional pepperoni slices if desired). then sprinkle parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is browned.
Notes
You can add more spaghetti sauce if you don’t have any pizza sauce. It could be necessary to include a little sugar and extra seasonings.
Add cooked vegetables to the meat, such as bell peppers or mushrooms, and simmer the mixture for a few minutes before adding the sauce.
The pasta sauce can be combined with toppings that don’t need to be cooked, such as ham, pepperoni, olives, and artichokes.
To make it crunchy, you can add more pepperoni and toppings on top of the cheese.
