Biography
Early Years
Kassie, who was American-born, was a very active kid growing up. She started dancing, but then switched to more difficult sports like soccer since she thought she had more athletic potential to develop.
She switched from soccer to basketball and eventually to volleyball. I played volleyball for four years of high school, Kassie added. Additionally, I taught younger girls.
Getting Motivated
In January 2013, Kassie Kemmis and her partner Lance began bodybuilding. She was first motivated when she went to the 2013 NPC Emerald Cup with him. “I went to cheer him on,” Kassie remarked.
When Kassie accompanied Lance to subsequent tournaments, she began to learn more about the sport and, at the same time, developed a powerful physique at the gym.
I improved my physique as much as I could and greatly enhanced my strength. I also learned more about the sport.
Education
Kassie continued her focus on health and fitness as she made her selection about where she would spend the next several years pursuing her college degree, selecting “Health & Human Performance – Community Health at the University of Montana.”
Kassie began working at a neighborhood gym in Missoula during her second year, where she quickly made friends with a personal trainer by the name of Lance Fulker. Later, she would start dating Lance.
After noticing Kassie’s dedication to the gym and potential for advancement, Lance, who had competed for ten years, proposed that she enter a competition.
In Bellevue, Washington, for the 2014 NPC Emerald Cup, both Lance and Kassie competed.
Kassie was surprised to finish 2nd in the Open Figure division, 4th in the Open Physique division, and 3rd in the Mixed Pairs division. The outcomes astounded her.
“For my first competition, I was happy with my body and everything I learned in the process. Even for fun, Lance and I participated in a Mixed Pairs competition and came in third!
Nationals & Last Year of College
She began getting ready for the Nationals as her undergraduate career came to an end.
She put forth a lot of effort while attending college, working as a nutrition merchant and wellness coach, and assisting Lance with client organization and competition preparation.
Getting Pro
When November 2014 concluded, Lance and Kassie flew to Miami, Florida, where she competed in the Figure class D, winning first place overall and earning her professional card. as Kassie put it
“Playing at that level was incredibly satisfying. In addition to improving what I had been working so hard on, I got to know some wonderful, motivational people.
I’m very appreciative of everyone who has supported me in becoming the lady I am today.
Now in Kassie’s Life
Kassie earned her bachelor of science degree in community health in May 2015 after completing college and becoming a professional.
She also earned her certification as a health coach, and she and Lance have improved their training businesses as a result.
It is evident that Kassie has been committed, diligent, and resourceful in achieving her goals of becoming a professional competitor and cementing her position as a prominent role model in the bodybuilding industry.
Training
Kassie usually begins her workouts with core exercises since doing so keeps her abs engaged for the duration of the session.
She will then move on to a big compound exercise like the chest press or barbell squats. She will execute lighter isolation exercises to conclude her program after she has finished the larger complex exercises.
Kassie says she likes to warm up before every workout because it helps with stretching and increases her capacity for more repetitions. Below is an illustration of one of Kassie’s chest exercises.
Chest Exercise
- Incline chest press
- Dumbbell press
- Cable flys
- Dips
- Wide grip machine flys
- Close grip incline dumbbell press
Squat Advice from Kassie
Kassie Kemmis first became interested in bodybuilding and realized she would experience knee and back issues following her workouts.
All of her pains didn’t go away until she decided to transition to barefoot training, more particularly, training in webbed/five-fingered shoes. When doing larger weights, she also wears a lifting belt.
Nutrition
Specified Diet
Kassie’s diet is planned around her training and job schedule, like other committed athletes. She consumes a balanced diet of lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats for the majority of the year.
She divides each of her six daily meals into smaller portions, which she takes about every two to three hours.
Kassie Kemmis enjoys having a cheat meal following her strenuous workouts, such as leg days. She will stop having the cheat meal, though, about four weeks before a competition so that she will be in peak shape.
Influences and Idols
Kassie Kemmis said she began bodybuilding because she liked the fact that not many people pursue it as a full-time profession. She enjoys working toward objectives and changing her body.
I appreciate transforming my body in ways I never anticipated, as Kassie puts it. When others see such changes and provide you with favorable comments, it’s cool to witness those changes, which justifies all the effort.
