Training
Glutes and Legs Together
Christina enjoys working both her legs and glutes at once. This not only works better, but it also saves Christina a ton of time.
This is how her regular glute-focused leg workout looks;
- Squats, 4 sets of 5 reps
- Barbell Hip Thrusts, 3 sets of 12-15 reps (pulses on the last set)
- Reverse Hypers, 3 sets of 10 reps
- Cable Pull Throughs with a mini band, 3 sets of 12 reps
Christina can choose to concentrate on her legs. She will merely substitute some of the aforementioned glute isolation exercises with exercises like leg presses, leg extensions, or lunges, to name a few.
Consistency Beats Everything Else
While many athletes encourage change to pursue ongoing improvement. One of them isn’t Christina. In fact, Christina is adamant that maintaining a regular workout schedule is more crucial than anything else.
She prefers to gradually improve her lifts each week as opposed to frequently switching up her exercise routine.
Christina claims that this isn’t the only problem. In actuality, it hinders her advancement.
Christina explains the importance of consistency versus variation: “Variation is good and all, but for me, it’s more important to improve on the exercises that are the most effective, rather than trying to create some fancy exercise using three mini bands, two cables, and a dumbbell at the same time.
People, keep in mind that the best results come from consistency and lifting weights more effectively rather than necessarily using the most expensive equipment or exercises.
I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t enjoy your workouts, but too much variety might make it difficult to keep track of your progress, which is essential for getting decent results. Christine Fjaere
Nutrition
Christina maintains a slack diet while she isn’t competing. Overall, she will eat properly, but she will also permit herself to attend gatherings and indulge in her favorite foods.
It’s a different situation, though, when a tournament is being prepared for. When Christina wants to lose weight for competitions, cheat foods have no place in her regimen.
She will only consume fish, egg whites, complex carbohydrates, and a few heart-healthy fats throughout this time.
