As Nikki puts it, “going on stage helped me get the fix” because she wanted something to fill the void.
CrossFit
Nikki has been participating in CrossFit for years and lifting weights in the Olympic manner. To do movements like the snatch, according to her, one must have a great deal of skill, dedication, and practice.
Although she acknowledges there is always space for development, she is always improving. She keeps moving forward to master each lift in her training regimen because of her competitive spirit.
Defiant Mentality
Since Nikki Leonard was a little child, Nikki’s father has worked to instill in her a “no-quitting attitude” toward life.
No matter how challenging things were or how much she despised something, he taught her to keep moving forward.
According to Nikki, “I have continuously gotten better every year of my life, and that is what inspires me to keep going. I look for the challenge in everything and I take it on because I believe that giving up is one of the worst things you can ever do.
“I’m constantly attempting to push my body and mind to new limits.
I think the fact that there are so many opportunities to challenge yourself in Crossfit, whether it be learning a new activity, going for a personal record, or finishing a circuit in a set amount of time, is the reason I’m so passionate about it.
Training
Program for Strongmen
Nikki will train with a Strongman program, which entails heavy lifting and pushing her body to its limits, on average 5–6 days a week. She will exercise like this every Wednesday and Sunday.
WOD’s
While Nikki works on her technique with a lighter weight on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, she also performs WODs to raise her heart rate and test her endurance following the technique drills.
On the days she usually works out, Nikki will warm up with bodyweight exercises like air squats, push-ups, and pull-ups while also using the rowing machine for a while.
Nutrition
a diet high in calories
Nikki Leonard claims that because of her rapid metabolism and rigorous Crossfit workout regimen, she finds it difficult to consume all the calories she requires.
If I don’t stick to my diet, I’ll physically shrink, claims Nikki. I consume a ton of carbohydrates and protein.
Asparagus, kale, broccoli, lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates will all be a part of Nikki’s diet. Every 3 to 4 hours, she will eat.
Nikki says she’ll also consume “eggs, steak, chicken, and eggplant for my proteins as well as one to two protein shakes every day” in addition to these foods. My diet also includes red potatoes, rice, cereal, peanut butter, and yogurt.
“That makes me feel so fantastic, and it always inspires me to realize that just because something right now seems hard, doesn’t mean I can’t get through it.
