Since October 11, 1997, Kurt Warner has been wed to Brenda Warner, also known as Brenda Carney Meoni.
The long-lasting relationship began when the former quarterback of the football team line danced with Kurt Warner’s future wife in college at a country-western bar in northern Iowa in the early 1990s.
Kurt was a struggling quarterback at the University of Northern Iowa at the time, age 21, and Brenda, age 25, was a recently divorced single mother of two who was attending nursing school.
Early Days of Kurt Warner and Wife’s Relationship
In a People interview conducted in December 2021, the couple discussed their relationship’s infancy.
Brenda began by explaining why neither of them was seeking or anticipating love when they met.
Brenda said, “I didn’t want to meet a man. “I was enrolled in a nursing program. As a single mother on food stamps, I was released from the Marine Corps. My life was difficult at the moment.”
The universe, however, had other ideas for them.
They were paired together by fate for the dance, which eventually allowed them to go on dates and get to know one another better.
As he continued, “I asked her to keep dancing and that’s basically how this whole thing started, a chance encounter when she didn’t want to go out, I didn’t want to go out, and someone forced us to go out, and all of this resulted from it.”
Brenda Warner’s Life Was Changed by Kurt
When Kurt first met his wife Brenda, she already had two kids, one of whom, named Zach, was blind and suffered from serious brain damage.
When Zack was three and a half months old, Brenda’s ex-husband reportedly dropped him in the bathtub by accident.
But the former football player had nothing but love to give when Brenda introduced her now-husband to her kid, who was three years old at the time.
As soon as he caught sight of her son, he fell in love.
“It was the first occasion that I wasn’t required to describe his impairment. They needed to get that for me because it both astonished and delighted me because there’s something special about this person [Kurt] “Bruce informed Forbes.
Brenda, who once worked in Marine intelligence, was also cheated on by her ex-husband while she was expecting their daughter Jesse, the couple’s second child.
She divorced him as a result before the kid was born and a few months before she met Kurt.
Yet again, the former Green Bay Packers player had a huge heart and agreed to take Brenda and her two children from a previous marriage as his wife.
Brenda’s situation immediately altered as a result since she felt confident moving forward in her life.
Brenda Warner And Kurt Have Seven Kids Right Now
The former NFL player married Brenda and had five additional babies with her after adopting her two children and getting married.
Kade Eugene Warner, Elijah Storm Warner, Jada Jo Warner, Sierra Rose Warner, and Sienna Rae Warner are the couple’s biological children.
The biographical sports movie American Underdog, which was also released on December 25, 2021, was based on Kurt’s NFL career and his relationship with Brenda.
Actor Zachary Levi portrayed the role of the NFL player, and actress Anna Paquin played the part of his wife.
