Biography
Early Years and Nursing Career
Amy Updike was always certain that she wanted to work as a nurse. She was able to do that later in her academic career.
She started her undergraduate studies to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, giving Amy a path to pursue her professional goals.
Amy started working full-time right after receiving her degree. She frequently worked 12-hour shifts, keeping herself busy to advance her profession. Because of this, Amy found it difficult to find the time or enthusiasm to stay in shape.
Amy opted to go out on the weekends instead. Unaware of the detrimental effects her heavy drinking and poor eating were having on her life, she started doing these things.
However, when Amy discovered she was expecting her first child, everything changed quickly. Amy was consequently compelled to adopt a healthy diet. Amy could guarantee a healthy pregnancy by doing this.
Her Fitness Journey Begins
