Biography of Arya Saffaie

Young Years

Arya Saffaie, a California native, began working out with his father and older brother Mike Saffaie when he was five years old. He was hooked after being made to lift a small dumbbell by his brother.

By the time he was 12, he was performing 100 pushups every night, and by the time he was 15, he had enrolled in his school’s gym class and was working out with his pals every day.

When he graduated from high school at age 17, he weighed 170 pounds and could bench press twice that amount. He beat the current school record for bench pressing, which was 340 pounds.
