Vegan diet is plant based foods with no meat, eggs or animal milk. There are many celebrities who follow this diet. But some of them have quit veganism. Mike Tyson, Anna Hathaway and Mikey Cyrus have admitted their problems with this diet. And now, actress Ashley Tisdale also revealed that she gave up veganism for health reasons.

Ashley Tisdale is a talented and beautiful actress who had gained fame for her roles in Disney films. She acted in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and also in High School Musical.
Recently, Ashley spoke to Eating Well and told them that she was vegan for a couple of years. But now, she has given it up. Ashley said:
“I watched a documentary and was very much committed to being vegan a couple years ago,“
Often, people become vegan eaters for health reasons and also to save the environment from climate change. They want to contribute to lessen the carbon footprint. Moreover, most of these people are animal lovers and want to avoid animal cruelty. Further, Ashley narrated:
“I loved it, I truly felt way better and lighter after meals instead of feeling exhausted or fatigued. [But] I did have difficulty finding things that tasted really good, so I was ordering out a lot.”
Why Ashley left vegan diet?
It was for health reasons that Ashley decided to stop vegan diet and switch back to her omnivores diet. She revealed:
“Without sharing too much, I have a body type that needs to have meat. So for health reasons, I couldn’t stay vegan.”
But she wanted to still have plant based foods in her weekly diet. Ashley said:
“I remember feeling disappointed that I couldn’t continue, but in my mind I remember thinking ‘You know what? I can still continue by [eating plant-based] at least one or two days.’ It doesn’t have to be all or nothing,”
She continued:
“If you can just take one day and commit to eating more plant-based meals that day, it really does feel like a good reset. I feel like everything is about balance and moderation … I want people to know it’s not just one or the other, you can do both.”
Ashley’s partnership with Sweet Earth
Sweet Earth is a brand that promotes and sells plant based foods. Ashley has partnered with this company. She wants to help people who are keen to include more of plant based foods in their daily diet. The brand offers them these options that are easily available and accessible to the consumers. Ashley clarified:
“I love supporting brands that resonate with what I talk about and what I actually eat,”

She is fond of their Mindful Chik’n as salad toppings or base for tacos, their Pad Thai bowl and the Big Sur Breakfast Burrito. Praising the products, she added:

“I’m not a huge cook, so especially when I want a quick meal and I’m trying to do my plant-based day, they’re very easy and it tastes so good.”
