Canelo Alvarez’s Exercise Program

Canelo, a professional boxer with a record of 60 fights, 57 victories, and one defeat, is unlike any other boxer the world has ever seen. The most thrilling aspect is that 39 of the 57 victories came by technical knockout.

So far, Canelo has knocked out more than 60% of his opponents that have faced him in the ring. He is renowned for having a punch so strong that it can break your ribs and knock you out.

Canelo is also highly recognized for his lightning-fast speed. He would survive his second punch and you wouldn’t even notice when he strikes.

Canelo is a phenomenal athlete; what must you do to be as exceptional and impressive? You’ll need to train hard every week, day by day, day in and day out.

Continue reading if you’re interested in learning more about what Canelo does throughout those weeks and days. I’ll do my best to explain it.

I was able to understand how Canelo would approach his training thanks to this video from Boxing Life channels.

The video demonstrates his training regimen by what Canelo has disclosed about it in the past. The amount of cardio in Canelo’s exercises appears to be high, which is important for boxers.

Running is quite important because it enables boxers to become accustomed to the effects of movement.

Later, Canelo divided his routines into strength training on three days of the week and boxing sparring on the other three. He finally takes a break one day to let his body heal.

The Canelo Alvarez workout consists of:

Cardio, Combat

Starting, we’ll run for an hour every day. Yes, given that a bout of boxing lasts 60 minutes and consists of 12 rounds of 5 minutes each, you must get used to moving for at least that long.

That helps you gain more stamina and endurance while also getting your legs ready for the punishment that will be dealt with during the actual combat.
