Biography
A Competitive Swimmer
Celia Gabbiani, who was born in Marmande, France, in 1990, was introduced to sports when she was six years old by her older sister.
Cecilia claims that although she can’t recall how it all began, she became aware of her urge to compete even as a young child.
At the age of 10, Celia and her sister both began swimming, and at the age of 13, she entered her first competition. While her sister eventually stopped, Celia kept swimming professionally for a while longer.
Celia relocated to Toulouse when she was 19 years old to complete her lifeguard training. She began looking for a job around that time and stopped competing in swimming events.
She lived in Toulouse for three years, expanding her network and getting expertise in several industries. Celia was a professional swimmer at the time and a makeup artist as well.
CrossFit Interest of Celia
Celia was applying for her driving test while she was in Toulouse. Her instructor, Erick Monoyer, the son of CrossFit coach Patrick Monoyer, introduced her to the sport and predicted that she would succeed in it.
Celia claimed she had always been an adventurous person who enjoyed trying new things, so she chose to “give it a shot.”
Under the direction of Patrick, who started creating tailored programs for Celia, she began working out at CrossFit Chin Menton.
She claimed that she made quick progress in all of the CrossFit workouts because of her coach and that she was soon prepared to begin competing.
When Celia was 23 years old, she “forget about swimming” in favor of making CrossFit her priority.
Initial Contests and Criticism
When Celia trained in CrossFit with her trainer and friends, she said she felt like she was in a “little family” and over time, she fell in love with both competing and training.
Three months later, in the spring of 2013, Celia competed for the first time, at which point she learned she struggled with large weights.
She only succeeded in qualifying for the Throwdowns Europe because she wasn’t accustomed to lifting weights. At that moment, she decided to join a gym, where she began lifting larger weights to accentuate her weak places and ultimately triumph in a strength competition.
Celia claimed that her body shape changed as a result of all the strength training and that her family and friends “weren’t particularly supportive” of her transition.
Celia admitted that time in her life was difficult and that she considered giving up the sport completely after hearing from her friends and family that she was “becoming too muscular.”
Despite the criticism, Celia persisted in her training and declared, “I thought to myself, I am going to sacrifice myself. I enjoy having a more muscular physique, and I don’t understand why a girl with muscles couldn’t be feminine.
Gaining Popularity
Celia kept up her competition and produced good outcomes. She also began updating her online followers on her trip.
Celia aspires to succeed in CrossFit in the future and get international recognition, much like one of her role models, Andrea Ager.
Training
Cardio and Swimming
When exercising cardio, Celia likes to either run outside or swim. She thinks it’s something she enjoys doing for fun and that’s excellent for her health.
Depending on her condition and how she feels at the time, she performs cardio anywhere between three and six times each week.
Overweight Lifting vs. Bodyweight Training
Despite performing some great strength feats in the gym, Celia claims that she prefers bodyweight exercises to weightlifting. It’s a terrific way to increase strength and build muscle, says Celia. It’s also a great type of cardio.
Push-ups, pull-ups, box jumps, handstand push-ups, and nearly any other workout using body weight are among her favorites.
Over the years, Celia has built up a strong and muscular back, and she credits the workouts deadlifts, and pull-ups for her development.
Nutrition
Celia Gabbiani doesn’t follow a certain diet. She works out hard and does cardio up to six times a week, which enables her to have a varied diet with a lot of calorie flexibility.
Celia enjoys eating healthy foods despite not paying close attention to her calorie consumption and believes that micronutrients are even more significant than macronutrients. Celia typically consumes veggies, seafood, nuts, and fruit.
To curb cravings, she also permits herself to consume less healthful foods on occasion. These include milkshakes, cookies, brownies, and chocolate muffins.
Influences and Idols
Andrea Ager is Celia’s favorite role model and a source of motivation for CrossFit. Celia Gabbiani admires Andrea and aspires to do similar feats of strength in the future.
