Mesa, Arizona, is where Chris Powell was initially born and reared.

Chris struggled with being underweight as a child. He simply didn’t appear to acquire any weight, no matter how much he consumed. At the age of 14, according to Chris, he was the shortest student in his entire school.

Being underweight had such an impact on the boy that his parents were aware of it and encouraged him to attend a gym so he could put on some weight.

Chris describes his experience with stretching, saying, “I have always chosen the barbells and haven’t done nearly as much flexibility and mobility work as my body has needed, and it has resulted in extremely tight muscles and a limited range of motion – which is the cause of a lot of my muscle and joint injuries over the years!

I’ve decided to commit to daily light stretching for just 5 minutes. Why five minutes? Any more, and I’d probably put it off by saying, “I don’t have the time,” Because every long-term transformation begins with a single little step. Within 30 minutes of waking up, Chris often eats his first meal of the day, followed by a small meal every two to three hours.

Six times a week, Chris will typically eat well-balanced meals, with Sundays set aside as his “cheat day.” Chris treats himself to something more delectable on Sundays, such as a burger, pizza, or donut.
