Training

Weightlifting Program Every Week

Cody James Redmond usually has a leg day to kick off the week. His first workout is a big squat session, which targets his powerful glute and quadriceps and puts his body in an anabolic state for the rest of the week.

He prefers to perform 5 or 6 sets of complex exercises with 6 repetitions for each workout. He performs four sets of 12 dumbbell flies for the upper body and three sets of 15 for the legs before switching to isolated lifts.

Cody employs these various rep ranges, such as strong compound lifts for building larger muscles and lighter isolating exercises for building leaner, more defined muscles.

Cody’s weekly routine looks like this:

  • Monday – Quads
  • Tuesday – Chest
  • Wednesday – Back and biceps
  • Thursday – Shoulders and triceps
  • Friday – Hamstrings

Cardio

Cody enjoys his cardio workouts because they allow him to “step back” from lifting weights.

He likes to ride his bike around his neighborhood or engage in high-intensity training on stair climber equipment. He occasionally engages in quick sprints as well, which strengthens his core, quadriceps, and glutes.

“If you take care of your mind, your body will follow.”

Nutrition

Healthy Decisions

To encourage the growth of lean muscle, Cody consumes a highly nutritious diet that is heavy in protein and fats and low in carbohydrates. He concentrates on consuming all of his fats naturally, opting for foods like almonds and olive oil.

He makes an effort to have 6 or 7 little meals per day, each of which contains up to 8 ounces of protein for the greatest possible muscle-building effects.

“I maintain a healthy level of leanness throughout the year; there is no need to gain weight just because it is “off-season.”

Supplements

Cody utilizes Whey Protein and multivitamins as supplements to speed up his recuperation time and maintain overall good health. Additionally, he regularly consumes BCAAs to keep his body in an anabolic state in between meals.

“Set some objectives and keep them in mind at all times.”
