This dairy-free avocado smoothie recipe is wonderfully creamy and made with banana and coconut milk. A quick and energizing vegan breakfast!

I came up with this recipe for a creamy avocado smoothie after a recent trip to Dallas. While we were there, Jack and I went to a popsicle shop where I fell madly in love with dairy-free avocado-lime pop.

I eventually succeeded in recreating it this summer—in the shape of a smoothie! There’s no need to panic; this avocado smoothie tastes nothing like guacamole.

It’s more like a tart lime sorbet. It has a great creamy texture from the avocado and banana, which makes it a really filling breakfast or snack. It’s so delicious that I might even have it for dessert!

You’ll need the following ingredients to prepare this delectable, creamy green smoothie:

  • Of course, avocado! It infuses this smoothie with healthful fats and gives it a lovely velvety texture.
  • A banana that has been frozen – It adds sweetness and thickens the smoothie even more.
  • Pineapple in the frozen state for a pleasant, tropical touch.
  • I adore adding spinach to my smoothies to give them an extra boost of color. You won’t be able to taste it, I assure you.
  • Lime juice and zest give this smoothie its incredible brightness, freshness, and tang.
  • I add a tiny bit of maple syrup for added sweetness.
  • Coconut milk: It gets the blender going, offers a delightful coconut taste, and completely eliminates the need for dairy in this smoothie.
  • Vanilla protein powder Aloha – It contains a huge 9 grams of protein per scoop and is made with organic plant-based components like pea, hemp, and pumpkin seed protein.

Combine everything, taste, and adjust as desired. To add more protein, I like to top my glass with a few hemp or chia seeds.

Variations in Avocado Smoothie Recipe

Although it is adjustable, I adore this recipe for an avocado smoothie as stated. Feel free to test out various versions. Listed here are some of my favorites:

  • Alternate the greens. Use half a cup of kale instead of spinach.
  • Change the milk. Although I prefer the taste of coconut in my avocado smoothie, you may use almond, oat, or regular milk if you don’t have any coconut milk on hand.
  • Replace the fruit. Frozen mangoes can be used in place of the pineapple in an equal amount.
  • Insert herbs. Fresh basil or mint would be excellent in little amounts.
  • Construct a smoothie bowl. To make this smoothie extra-thick, cut back on the coconut milk. Add granola, fresh fruit, hemp seeds, chia seeds, or nut butter to the top and serve with a spoon. For dessert, you could add a sprinkle of cacao nibs or chocolate sauce on top!
