Everyone enjoys the delectable dessert known as cheesecake bites. On top of a simple cookie crust, a rich, creamy cheesecake filling is layered and swirled with our favorite preserves.
This simple dessert dish is not only delicious but very lovely. It keeps nicely, too!
Tea Time!
Downton Abbey is a British period drama set in the early 20th century, as many of its fans are already aware. It displays a significant aspect of British culture: traditional afternoon tea!
It is imperative to follow regulations and correct aristocratic decorum when having afternoon tea with the Crawley family. Mini scones topped with jams, butter, or creams, and cucumber sandwiches are the traditional teatime fare.
The Dowager Countess of Grantham will probably like the cheesecake bite we created by combining tastes from classic tea nibbles.
The nicest swirls are made by topping a delectable cheesecake mixture, which is naturally sweetened with honey, with a choice of Downton Abbey fruit preserves.
Making Cheesecake Bites
For simple removal, while making small cheesecake bites, line a muffin pan with liners. The selection at Cost Plus World Market is fantastic.
Liners can be used to provide a unique touch or theme to any occasion, such as a tea party with a Downton Abbey theme.
Crust:
- Crushed Viennese cookies and butter should be combined, then pressed into liners.
- Firmly pressing the crust before baking will help it hold together.
Filling:
- Before mixing, make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature for optimal results.
- The filling components should be beaten until light and fluffy.
- To easily and evenly fill the cupcake liners, use a batter dispenser pen.

Topping:
- Use a single flavor or a mix.
- Before baking, swirl the preserves with a toothpick to make attractive designs.
- Completely cool after baking. Remove from the liners once they have cooled, then serve. Even better, for a cool snack on a hot day in the summer, try frozen cheesecake pieces!
Marmalades, Curds, and Jams
We used a selection of fruit preserves to top these cheesecake bites. The flavor and consistency are the key differences.
- Jam: Traditional Black Currant from Downton Abbey A thicker fruit preserve is the jam. Along with the juice, it also includes the fruit’s meat. This cheesecake recipe has a great texture thanks to the sweet spread.
- Citrus Curd: Downton Abbey Lemon Curd has a different texture from the other fruit preserves and is typically created with citrus flavors. It is a silky, intensely flavorful spread that goes fantastically with cheesecake!
- Downton Abbey, marmalade Fruit preserves, and orange marmalade are similar, however, the latter can be distinguished by the inclusion of fruit peels. In this dish, the strong bitter flavor of it is well offset by the sweet honey and creamy cheese.
One of my favorite stores is Cost Plus World Market. I could easily lose hours just perusing the aisles. I always manage to locate anything that I ‘need’ completely! Beautiful tablecloths, bed linens, and kitchenware (my weakness) are available there. They offer wines, gourmet and international delicacies, and now a range of teatime necessities inspired by Downton Abbey!
The majority of the components in this recipe, along with all of the prep and serving supplies, were acquired from Downton Abbey Orange Marmalade. You may either visit your neighborhood shop.
