How to Prepare Spaghetti in a Pressure Cooker

  1. Dark meat Utilizing the Instant Pot’s saute option, brown the beef. Drain excess fat from your meat if there is a lot of it; otherwise, leave it in for taste.
  2. Ajouter sauce & pasta Adding the spaghetti and sauce ingredients as directed in the recipe
  3. Cook Manual/High Pressure for 8 minutes with the lid securely fastened.

Once finished, quickly release the pressure and allow 5–10 minutes for it to rest. Serve immediately, possibly with a slice of handmade garlic bread, cheese, and parsley.

It’s crucial to allow this sauce to cool after cooking. Some of the noodles may need to be broken up with a fork after cooking.

When you first open the lid, the sauce can look a little bit thin, but as it cools and the pasta keeps soaking it up, the sauce will thicken up beautifully and the pasta will become soft!

  • After browning the meat, deglaze the browned bits on the pan’s bottom to assist prevent the dreaded burn notice!

Remaining spaghetti?

Like chili, leftover spaghetti is actually almost better the next day for lunch or dinner! It will last up to 4 days in the refrigerator.

Simply reheat (and possibly re-cheese), no need to re-season! Kids prefer hot lunches, and you can easily reheat some instant pot spaghetti at school if you put it in a closed container with a few scoops. Just pop it in the microwave to take it to work!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 ounces spaghetti uncooked
  • 14 ounces diced tomatoes with juices
  • 2 cups marinara sauce or pasta sauce
  • ¾ cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped

  1. A 6QT Instant Pot should be set to sauté. Beef, onion, and garlic should be cooked until browned and no longer pink. If there is more fat than a tablespoon or so, drain it.
  2. After adding water, remove any brown pieces. Add spaghetti, tomatoes, marinara, wine, and Italian spice after cutting it in half. The sauce should press onto the pasta.
  3. Select manual, high pressure for 8 minutes, then close the lid.
  4. Once finished, immediately remove the pressure and stir. pause for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Cheese and parsley are combined. Serve right away.
