  • Air frying recreates the crispy, crunchy feel of the deep-fried fish stick without the need to submerge food in hot oil. Cleaning up is also a breeze!
  • There’s no need to defrost your fish stick! In less than 15 minutes, you can get from frozen to ready-to-eat with this procedure.
  • This is an excellent method to reheat any remaining fish stick. They’ll just take 2 to 3 minutes in the air fryer because you’ve already cooked them. Just long enough to reheat them and crisp up the breading once more!

Important Ingredients

Fish Sticks — You may use any brand of frozen fish stick for this recipe, so pick your favorite! You can cook as many fish sticks as you want, but depending on how many you need, you may need to cook them in batches.

Chef’s Advice

  • It’s critical to arrange the fish stick in a single, equal layer in the air fryer basket. They shouldn’t touch or overlap because the air fryer needs to circulate completely for it to work.
  • This recipe does not require the use of spray oil! It will crisp up your fish sticks even more, but the air fryer does an excellent job of it already. If you opt to use spray oil, avoid using anything that is aerosolized. The harsh components in canned aerosol cooking sprays (like PAM) will damage the coating on your air fryer basket.
  • If your air fryer has racks rather than a basket, rotate the racks halfway during the cooking time to ensure that all of your fish sticks are cooked equally.
  • We used premade breaded fish sticks in this recipe, but the same process would work if you make your own!
