Where Does Golden Milk Come From?

This ancient Indian beverage was produced thousands of years ago. Golden milk is something that Ayurveda recommends for all body kinds (or doshas). It’s calming and healing for everyone. It helps the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response.

Is Golden Milk Beneficial to Sleep?

Golden milk is a delicious drink to take before going to bed. Turmeric helps you fall asleep faster by soothing your digestive system and detoxifying your liver.

You’ll sleep better and feel more energized when you wake up. I strongly advise you to try a cup of this before bedtime if you have difficulties turning it off and sleeping at night.

This Recipe’s Variations

Because all of the spices in this drink are important, it’s best not to leave any of them out. Black pepper is particularly significant because it activates the curcumin in turmeric, which releases anti-inflammatory compounds.

This recipe can be made with any non-dairy milk you like. For an exceptionally thick and creamy texture that isn’t overwhelming, we like to combine 1 cup of light coconut milk from a can with 2 cups of almond milk.

You can use any combination of milk in this recipe, but don’t use too much ‘canned’ coconut milk or it will become too thick!

Chef’s Advice

  • You can use any type of milk you choose, such as almond, macadamia, coconut, or ordinary milk.
  • If you desire smoother golden milk, use 2 cinnamon sticks instead of ground cinnamon.
  • Do not exclude any of the components for the most healthful drink.
