Gracie Vanasse encountered several difficult situations when she was young, struggling with drug addiction, insecurities, and run-ins with the law.

By the age of 13, Gracie had been placed in several foster homes and had started a long-term rehab program.

Gracie felt she had to make a change because the only thing she could see was a cloudy future.

Gracie chose at the age of 22 that would alter the course of her life. She entered a gym without knowing what a dumbbell was and immediately began lifting weights.

After a few years, she successfully transitioned her passion for weightlifting into a career by winning numerous championships.

Early Life Of Grace Vanasse

Grace Vanasse, who was born on August 14, 1988, didn’t have a smooth childhood. Gracie felt alone and like the “black sheep” of the family even though she was born one of an identical triplet set. Early on, this gave rise to intense feelings of loneliness, despair, and melancholy.

She was at her lowest point when she was twelve years old. She was breaking the law, drinking too much, and had been in and out of foster care.

Early Life began keeping a journal as soon as she checked into a long-term hospital for recovery in Montreal. She would visit other therapy facilities as well, and soon there were many. During this time, she did change her life for the better and completed high school.

But the bad times persisted, and by the time she was 17, she had developed a severe cocaine addiction. According to her, people lived and worked in grow homes in a “heavy universe.”

Gracie realized this was not her world. She was committed to getting better. She attended sessions for Narcotics Anonymous, and it was at these meetings that she “finally felt like a human.” She was completely sober by October 2006.

She joined a gym at the age of 22, which completely altered her life.

“I was dissatisfied with my figure in the summer of 2009 and set out to improve that. I didn’t even know what a dumbbell was, so I was terrified to visit a coed gym.

She shed 20 pounds in a few weeks before hitting a plateau. She made the decision to engage a trainer, began lifting more weight, and went to her first bodybuilding competition.

In 2010, not long after beginning to take the training aspect seriously, she participated in her first powerlifting competition. She performed well here (9/9) and earned a spot in the provincials.

Gracie experienced her first feeling of being “excellent” at something.

“Anyone can participate in this sport. The willingness to improve is the only prerequisite for membership. When you cross that platform, everything is different. Your motivation for working out increases significantly.

She credits powerlifting for saving her life as she reflects on everything she has overcome. She often publishes articles on a range of health and nutritional topics because she has made it her mission to inspire others.

Gracie Vanasse is one of the strongest and most versatile women lifters in the world today and a professional powerlifter.

She has established the California Elite Training Center in San Diego, a health and fitness facility, in addition to her expertise in powerlifting and nutrition. It serves as a training facility for powerlifting and a gym.

“I discovered powerlifting after four years of sobriety. It had a significant impact on my recovery and has helped me stay sober, in my opinion. My outlet is it.

I adore being able to enter the gym and shut off the rest of the world. It’s better than I can ever recall marijuana being.
