Natalie Cassidy now has a slim body. She has lost considerable amount of her excess fat since the start of her career. How did she manage to do it? What are the secrets and tips of her diet plan for losing weight?
Natalie Cassidy and her weight loss journey
EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy was size 16 when she started her career. During the course of time, she has slimmed down a lot. She has lost 3 stone and is now size 8. Her waist size has shrunk considerably.
She admits that she did some changes in her diet to achieve this weight loss. She had to give up some of her favorite treats in order to slim down. Her favorite treats and comfort foods were crisps, cheese, and dips. She decided to give all of these up and refrain from eating them. She was determined and the results came up soon after. She noticed that it made a difference to her weight.
Cheese and weight loss
Though Natalie gave up and stopped eating cheese to lose weight, cheese is one item that is often part of weight loss plans. Dietitians recommend slimmers to have it because it is a rich source of calcium, proteins, and fats. It also has lots of phosphorus and zinc along with vitamins A and B12.
Studies have shown that bone health is vital for everyone including slimmers. Hence even slimmers need it. They can opt for calcium-rich but low-fat dairy and dairy products instead of eliminating cheese completely from the diet. This should be coupled with low-calories meal to achieve the desired weight loss.
Though cheese has health benefits, consume it in moderation because it also has high saturated fats and salt in it. These two can give rise to high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol levels. Both of these are silent killers. Natalie told the magazine The Sun:
“I cut out rubbish. I cut down on alcohol too, even though I love white wine.”
Alcohol and weight
Alcohol has hidden calories which we often ignore but which adds to our daily calories intake and causes weight gain. There are 82 calories in an average-sized glass of white wine. Whereas one pint of beer has an average of 208 calories in it. Drinking alcohol means consuming these hidden calories. Once you abstain from hard drinking, the weight normalizes.
Along with giving up certain fattening foods and drinks, Natalie also began exercises. In 2019 before the covid-19 pandemic began, she took part in the London Marathon. She also trained for it and this training itself made her lose weight. Her dress size decreased by 4. The training regime for marathon run of 26 miles is hard and participants start it months in advance.
