This mango dragon fruit refresher beats Starbucks hands down! Less sugar, better ingredients, and ridiculously simple to prepare.
This incredibly refreshing cocktail only requires three ingredients and a few minutes to prepare.
Why Is Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher Recipe So Delicious?
- There are no hidden sweets or secret syrups! To make this healthier version of a Starbucks staple, we utilize fruit juice and unsweetened dragon fruit powder.
- It’s quite simple to make! Anyone and I mean anyone, can make this refreshing drink. All you have to do is combine all of the ingredients and then pour your wonderful mango dragon fruit refresher over ice – that’s it!
- It is the ideal accent to any gathering! Make a huge pitcher of this delicious drink, then sit back and watch your friends and family enjoy it.
Important Ingredients
Dragon Fruit Powder — This drink’s trademark fiery pink color comes from dragon fruit powder. Pitaya, often known as dragon fruit, is a naturally delicious tropical fruit.
Because the powder is very concentrated, a little goes a long way in terms of flavor and color. As a result, even a small bag of dragon fruit powder will last a long time!
Mango Juice — The recipe’s other star, mango juice adds a lot of natural sweetness. You can also use mango puree for a sweeter cocktail — it’s entirely up to you!
Green Bean Coffee Extract – Green bean coffee extract is nearly flavorless, but it provides a decent caffeine boost.
If you prefer a caffeine-free mango dragon fruit refresher, simply omit the coffee extract from the recipe! Green bean coffee extract is available online and at some vitamin and health food stores.
Chef’s Advice
- For a creamier drink, add half a cup of coconut milk. At the Starbucks counter, coconut milk is a popular additive that you can simply make at home. This is my favorite option since the flavor of coconut makes it taste even more tropical!
- For a wonderful non-alcoholic frozen cocktail, combine your mango dragon fruit refresher with ice, frozen dragon fruit, and/or frozen mango. This alternative is especially tasty during the hot summer months as a refreshing way to chill down. It’s also a delicious frozen fruit smoothie that kids will enjoy.
- Make a big batch of this drink to last you all week! To make this, combine all of the juices and powders in a pitcher and refrigerate. Pour over ice and freeze-dried or frozen dragon fruit pieces when ready to drink.
