Biography

Police Officer, and a Bikini Competitor

India Paulino has always been a person who likes to compete. When she started high school, she had previously participated in every sport and activity offered by her schools, from dancing and fitness to martial arts and volleyball.

After graduating from high school, she continued to pursue her love of athletics by competing in bikini shows. She started her career as a police officer at the same time, which left her with little time to train for her competitions.

Nevertheless, she won first place in her first bikini competition, the 2010 NPC Fort Lauderdale Fitness, because of her stage presence and incredible physique.

India became aware of her immense ability in the sport after she experienced triumph in her first competition. She decided to devote her entire life to fitness as a result, leaving her position as a police officer behind.

India Paulino admitted that this choice was risky, but it ultimately paid off.

Over the next five years, she went on a “rampage,” winning competitions like the 2011 NPC Bev Francis Atlantic States Bodybuilding, Figure, and Fitness Championships, the 2011 NPC Junior National Championships, and the 2013 IFBB Arnold Classic. One year after making her professional debut, she also received her Pro Card.

Taking Chances

India continues to work hard toward her goals despite her fitness success; she is still eager for further stage triumphs. She now has a fulfilling life as a professional bikini competitor and an online fitness model.

When asked about her achievements, India cited becoming an IFBB Pro competitor, placing in the top 6 at the 2011 Olympia, and getting sponsored as the ones she was most proud of.

“It’s amazing that we get the chance to participate in some of the most prominent competitions in the world, like the Arnold Classic and the Olympia.

The employees of the company are incredibly talented and do a fantastic job with everything from putting on events to caring for the athletes.

Training

India works on a different body component each day during her five weekly workouts. She works out with cardio every day, sometimes twice.

She doesn’t follow a fixed training regimen because her coach provides her with a different exercise program each month.

Various Cardio

India claims that while HIIT is typically her preferred form of cardio, she occasionally loves to “mix it up” with regular treadmill running or the use of the Stairmaster.

India Paulino enjoys using the Stairmaster because, depending on how she sits, it tones various regions of her lower body.

Developing Strong Legs

India claims that because of her excellent genetics in the lower body, she doesn’t need to work her legs incredibly hard to get them to respond.

India is discussing her leg growth and squats in this video;

“I don’t squat a lot. I know these days everybody is all about squatting! Squat! Squat! I don’t do squats very often because if I did my Quads would be outta control and that doesn’t fit into the Bikini look I’m trying to achieve.”

India likes to perform a lot of isolated exercises like glute kickbacks, lunges, and stability ball exercises rather than complex movements like squats.

I avoid calorie counting. As I sit down with my coach to discuss my diet before a competition, she creates a nutrition plan for me.

Calorie counting may truly turn into a problem if you let it. Many ladies also struggle greatly with the scale and their weight. I don’t weigh myself until I’m getting ready for a show.

Nutrition

India has a fresh diet plan each month, much like she does with her workouts. However, there are some meals that she often eats, and they are;

  • Steak
  • Oatmeal
  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Egg Whites
  • Salmon
  • Brown Rice
  • Orange Roughy

She consumes similar macronutrient amounts throughout the year, except when she is in contest preparation mode when she reduces her protein intake and increases her fat and carbohydrate intake.

She uses a mirror as her primary indicator of progress rather than counting macros by the gram.

Supplements

India rarely consumes protein shakes; instead, she chooses to obtain her protein from natural foods. She just takes a multivitamin, glutamine, and a fat burner as supplements.

Influences and Idols

One of India’s favorite fitness professionals is Nathalia Melo. India claims that after seeing a photo of Nathalia’s amazing figure from the 2010 Olympia, she was inspired by her.

What Can We Learn From Isabel Inda Paulino?

India was given the option of continuing her profession as a police officer and “playing it safe” several years after she graduated from high school, or she could have taken a chance and pursued her dream job in fitness.

She wasn’t sure where this choice would lead her after deciding on the latter. However, she already had a Pro Card after winning her first two shows in just one year. In the end, her bold choice led her to destinations she had never imagined.

If anything, India showed us that sometimes the only way to achieve greatness in life is to be fearless. “Difficult and hazardous roads frequently lead to lovely destinations,” as someone once stated.
