Who is Jared Bullock?

American bodybuilder, sponsored athlete, and former US Army soldier Jared Bullock.

As a youth, he helped out on his grandfather’s farm, which prepared him well for a career in the military. But a significant event would occur in Jared’s life in 2013.

Short Career of Jared Bullock

While on service in Afghanistan, Jared Bullock was seriously injured when his car collided with a roadside bomb not long after being sent there.

The tragedy cost Jared two of his limbs, which originally affected him negatively and caused him to experience sadness.

He was able to overcome this and do things he never imagined he could, though, thanks to the encouragement of his close friends and family.

Jared was his sole source of drive, therefore he kept establishing objectives for himself to push himself.

Jared wants to give back to those who were so kind to him after his injuries after achieving the goals he set for himself.

He wants to motivate those in similar circumstances to obtain fitness. become their best selves in the process. Here is his account:

Biography

Early Years

Jared spent his early years living in Illinois, where he was born. Jared acknowledged that he wasn’t the most athletic person in high school because he didn’t participate in any sports.

His fitness adventure would therefore not get going until much later in his life.

Together with his twin brother, Jared grew up helping out on his grandfather’s farm. He learned several valuable life lessons from this, including the necessity of working hard to achieve objectives. Jared said this regarding it:

He claims, “I grew up doing a lot of physical labor on my grandpa’s farm with my twin brother.” Although he was a superior man, he did not put up with crap.

If you needed to eat, you had to go to work. That viewpoint started there and gradually evolved inside of me until I enlisted in the military.

Military Service

Jared was perfectly suited for a career in the army because of his early years spent working on a farm. Jared and his twin brother joined the US Army in August 2003 as a result.

He wanted to make a difference in the world as well as his country, and joining the army allowed him to do so.

Jared’s military career flourished as he began to establish a reputation as an inspirational figure for others. Later in his military career, he would spend two tours of duty in Iraq and begin training inexperienced Berets.

Jared finally ended up stationed in Afghanistan after becoming established in the military. Jared was proud of his accomplishments at this point, but things would soon get worse.

The Experience of a Life-Changing Injury

Jared experienced injuries that would change his life in November 2013. Jared and his fellow soldiers suffered terrible consequences when the vehicle he was in collided with an IED.

One of Jared’s closest friends would die from the roadside bomb, and he, along with two other coworkers, would suffer injuries.

Jared would need to have two limbs amputated, which would have a terrible effect on his life.

When I got home, that’s when the hurt started to hit me. Jared was forced to leave the military, which made him feel as though all of his efforts had been in vain.

Jared originally experienced a negative effect from this as he started to struggle with depression.

Jared immediately understood, nevertheless, that he still wanted to live his life, despite the wounds he had received.

Jared was so moved by the love and support from his family that he refused to allow his injury to get in the way, saying:

“I understood that this was only another hurdle in my life; my life wasn’t over. I’ve always been driven to work harder in life by challenges.

Upon Discovering Fitness

Jared started his recovery journey, staying on track by regularly establishing goals for himself. Jared wanted to make the most of the fact that his motivation was at its highest point following his injury.

Within a year of his accident, he set goals for himself, including running an obstacle course and going to his son’s birthday party. Jared would be able to maintain his motivation and keep his life on course thanks to this.

Jared miraculously recovered from his injury in just 10 months and was able to run a 12-mile race.

This served as a reminder of how rapidly Jared recovered from his accident and continued to live by the adage, “With hard work comes solid results.”

To the Bodybuilding Stage Now

Jared eventually wanted to advance his fitness quest after witnessing how quickly he was improving. He then put a lot of emphasis on consistent training so that he could participate in the bodybuilding stage.

At the Daytona Beach Classic in 2016, Jared took part in his debut competition. He was able to take third in his class and fifth out of 12 rookie competitors in this competition.

This demonstrated how far Jared has progressed since making exercise a priority in his life. As a result, he had a platform from which to compete in the future, confident that his efforts would yield positive outcomes.

The Present

Jared wants to assist those who are in his shoes in accomplishing the same goals that he has. He hopes to motivate other amputees to use fitness to enhance their lives, just as it did for Jared.

Additionally, Jared also wants to support other veterans. A nonprofit created to aid veterans provided Jared with a custom home in the wake of his injury. Jared stated that he wanted to find a way to pay back the loan after receiving this kind of gift:

I desire to own a gym, he claims. “I want to run my own company. I wish to help the neighborhood. Additionally, I hope to achieve success so I can contribute to all the charities that have supported my family and myself.

I’ll return whatever they provided me so they may support other veterans by using it to help others.

Jared’s injury required the removal of two limbs from the right side of his body. Despite this, Jared stressed the importance of maintaining his body’s symmetry, saying the following:

He explains, “I was looking at how to train without all of your limbs. “At the same time, I was working with young amputees here in the United States and continued observing how their growing asymmetry in strength would cause them issues.

I worked my entire body out in my gym for a long time since I didn’t want that to happen.

To achieve his fitness objectives, Jared built a custom gym in his garage.

Despite being an amputee, he claims that he has always had a rapid metabolism. “My artificial leg is 10 pounds heavy.

It requires twice as much energy to drag something around as it does to walk normally. I need to consume roughly 4,500 calories daily due to my high-calorie expenditure.

Influences and Idols

Even after suffering a fatal injury, Jared never wavered in his commitment to changing the world.

His wife, who supported him during his recuperation and kept him focused on his objectives, is cited by him as having had the biggest impact on his life.

When Jared found fitness, he was able to swiftly regain his sense of self. This served as all the inspiration he required to carry on with his life.
