Jeff Beckham, who was born on January 19, 1982, and is originally from Queens, New York, had a difficult life. Since he was six years old, Jeff hadn’t seen his father. From the age of fifteen, he traveled from one place to another, residing with friends until he was nineteen.

The remainder of his family, including his mother, relocated to South Carolina. Jeff then decided to remain in New York. When Jeff turned 20, he finally acquired his apartment.

A Passion for Exercise

Since he was 14 years old, Jeff has always had a penchant for exercising and staying in shape. He began wrestling in the 160-180 weight class at Astoria Junior High School while also participating in basketball.

As a center in high school basketball, Jeff’s squad went undefeated the entire time.

Jeff experimented with several activities before settling on natural bodybuilding, which he soon grew intrigued with.

For the First Time Competing

Inspired by other bodybuilders like Arnold, Aaron Baker, and Dexter Jackson, Jeff joined his neighborhood gym, the Diamond Gym, where he created his first piece of content. Jeff entered the room and took first place after months of diligent practice.

After Diamond Gym shut down a while later, Jeff relocated to ‘Richie’s Gym’ in Queens, New York. With the assistance of his gym mates, Jeff began to take competing seriously at this point.

A Professional Bodybuilder’s Guide

While working as an ab trainer at Platinum Gym, Jeff also worked out at Richie’s Gym. Jeff decided to compete in the first bodybuilding competition held by Platinum Gym in Queens, and much to everyone’s astonishment, Jeff won.

After winning this competition, Jeff began to see a lot of possibilities coming his way. Jeff was highlighted in a bodybuilding-related short story published by the neighborhood newspaper “Our Times.”

Jeff’s desire started to intensify at this point. He devised a strategy to obtain his Pro card before turning 25.

Assistance from Competitors

Jeff participated in a show held by the INBF and sponsored by Fulton Fitness on April 4, 2005, taking his enthusiasm to a new level.

He arrived at the exhibition on a train unprepared, without any posing practice, and in his underpants rather than posing trunks.

Isaac Achu, a natural bodybuilder, noticed Jeff’s need for direction and assistance that day. Isaac contacted Jeff after realizing that he had a great deal of potential for advancement.

Jude Achu, the brother of Isaac, finished ahead of Jeff that day. Over months, with Jude and Achu’s assistance, Jeff began to see significant gains in his muscular size, striations, and posing technique.

Obtaining a Pro Card

Jeff entered the New York City NBF in Manhattan two months after the INBF was displayed. On that particular Saturday, March 23, 2005, Jeff took the stage to receive his World Natural Bodybuilding Federation Pro Card.

Jeff decided to try the NPC because he wanted to get greater exposure. Even though these contests were not drug-tested, Jeff wanted to establish himself as a natural bodybuilder on a greater scale.

Jeff finished third in the novice division of the Bev Francis Atlantic States, third in the Eastern United States, and first in the NPC East Coast in 2006.

Bodybuilding Professional

After these competitions in 2006, Jeff was informed that he had a chance to win and acquire further recognition in the all-natural bodybuilding organization Musclemania.

When Jeff won the overall title at the Fitness Atlantic Championships in 2007 and traveled to Connecticut in the “greatest shape of his life,” Jeff officially became a Musclemania Professional.

Jeff headed to Miami to compete in the Musclemania Superbody Professional World Championships, continuing his winning streak. He once again won the overall title, demonstrating to everyone that he always had what it takes to succeed.

Dietary Errors

Jeff traveled to Hollywood to compete in the Musclemania Professional World Championships following his second victory in the competition.

However, he made a modest dietary change after being advised that carbo-loading with “runners gel” before the event would fill out his muscles and make him look pumped.

But on that particular day, the gel merely made him appear smooth and flat. As a result, Jeff dropped to fifth place.

Now in Jeff’s Life

Since his early competitive days, Jeff has continued to compete, winning first place awards and placing in other noteworthy positions.

With his ACE, ISPA, and CPR certifications, Jeff is currently a personal trainer at Bally’s in New York City.

Jeff has a strong work ethic and trains clients all day long, putting in ten-hour days.

As one of the most formidable competitors in the field of natural bodybuilding, Jeff has gained widespread recognition in both his hometown and the bodybuilding community.
