Jessica Simpson and her weight loss
In 2019, Jessica Simpson announced on her Instagram that she lost 100 pounds of excess weight in six months after she gave birth to her daughter Birdie Mae. This sounds incredible. But as per her personal trainer Harley Pasternak, Jessica accomplished this weight loss through the Body reset diet. He told US magazine:
“It’s three meals and two snacks a day, and each meal has protein, fiber, and fat, and snacks are protein and fiber or protein and fat,”
“It’s about balancing in a way that doesn’t make it painful or too much of a departure from your life before that.”
According to Harley’s website:
“The Body Reset Diet offers a proven program to hit the reset button, slim down, and get healthy in just fifteen days.”
The body reset diet
This diet plan is for 15 days. There are three phases of the plan. And each phase is of 5 days duration and has an exercise plan in it. In the first phase, the dieter can eat 5 times a day. Foods allowed are smoothies and snacks. It is three smoothies and two snacks. These smoothies have healthy carbs, protein, healthy fats, with high fiber. All snacks should value 150 calories each with 5 grams fiber and protein and less than 10 grams sugar. This is with light exercise like walking 10000 steps per day.
In phase 2, it is two smoothies, one solid meal, and two snacks in a day. Meals are simple such as soups, sandwiches, salads and stir fries. You walk 10000 steps per day. Moreover, three times a week you have to do 5 minute workouts.
And in phase 3, it is one smoothie, two meals and two snacks per day. And exercise is a bit more. Later, you continue with five foods a day. It would be like phase 3 along with two treats per week. Alcohol is permitted. You also walk 10000 steps per day seven days a week. And also do brief light resistance exercises five days a week.
