Who is Katie Miller Kerner?

Katie Miller Kerner, an American bikini athlete, and fitness coach, was born in South Carolina in 1990.

Competitive athletics gave her the chance to fully express herself in high school, from lacrosse to swimming. But all of that changed one day.

As soon as Katie started having self-consciousness about her appearance, her life quickly started to slide south. She started starving herself and started going for daily runs.

This soon had a significant effect on her health, and she was eventually given an anorexia diagnosis.

She later met her future spouse, who helped her get back on track. She has now achieved success on the bodybuilding scene, becoming an IFBB Pro in 2017 and scaling new heights in her fitness career.

Biography

Early Years & Tough Times

1990 saw the birth of Katie Miller Kerner in South Carolina. She did, however, split her early years between Illinois and Maryland.

She participated in a variety of competitive sports, from swimming to lacrosse, starting in her early years in junior high.

Everything was going well for her while she was a student until one day when things started to go south. Katie started having body issues as her high school senior year drew near.

As a result, Katie decided to start eating healthier, believing that doing so would make her happier. Katie started starving herself during this time and started going for daily runs. But all that happened was to make things worse for her.

As a result, Katie was given an anorexia diagnosis. She felt weak and underfed, which indicated that her body image issues had finally caught up with her.

At this time, Katie decided she needed to alter her life for the better, and that’s when she discovered bodybuilding.

A Career In Bikini Competition

Katie started going to the gym daily, which rapidly made fitness one of her biggest hobbies. She was resolved to win her fight against anorexia from that point forward.

After making significant improvements during her gym training, Katie was certain that she could maintain working hard to make even more development. Her future spouse pushed her to compete on the bodybuilding stage at this time.

After that, Katie remained committed to realizing her dream of succeeding as a bikini competitor. She was able to overcome her worst moments and grow into the best version of herself as a result.

In 2011, Katie entered her first contest, the ABA John Hansen. She dominated the tournament, winning first place overall, giving her the chance to live a more uplifting life.

Competition In Later History

After her first contest went well, Katie became obsessed. Then, she utilized this as a springboard to advance into her subsequent competition to duplicate the success of her first victory as a bikini competitor.

Her perseverance and hard effort paid off; one example is her second-place finish at the 2013 NPC Midwest Naturals. She was inspired to move on to the next tournament she entered since she was always looking to do better.

Later, Katie focused on obtaining her Pro Card. Her hopes of becoming a professional bikini competitor came true when, after a few years of participating in the NPC, she won the 2017 IFBB North Americans competition.
