Biography (Early Life)

Lauren was born in 1985, was reared in Hillsborough County’s county seat of Tampa, and has always been an avid sportswoman.

She played baseball and softball for her high school all-star teams, but she had never thought of becoming a bikini athlete.

For the early part of her childhood, she led a typical existence, but when she was 5 years old, her father left the house to pursue his education at the University of Kansas. She had no idea how things would turn out as a result.

Becoming A Member Of The Westboro Baptist Church

While making a film to discredit the cult, Lauren’s father stopped by the Westboro Baptist Church. He wasn’t the same man when he got home though.

Due to his involvement with the cult, Lauren’s father eventually joined them. Lauren and the rest of her family relocated to Kansas, in the center of the midwest, in 2000.

She joined the Westboro Baptist Church at age 15 and lived under its rigid guidelines for the following seven years. She joined the cult during this time and grew up to be one of its cruel members while protesting.

Lauren, though, still had some hope.

Being Expelled From The Cult

After understanding that the cult’s beliefs did not line up with the bible, Lauren grew dissatisfied with her existence.

At age 20, she started asking her family members about her epiphany, including her parents. The group, though, didn’t dismiss her uprising.

She was eventually expelled from the Westboro Baptist Church in 2008 when she was 22 years old for defying their regulations.

Both of her parents refused to communicate with her, and she was abandoned by her family. Lauren’s life had reached a very low point, and things would only grow worse.

Lauren was made to leave her family behind almost immediately after being formally fired. She was instructed to pack her bag and given a window of time to depart. After that, against her will, her father drove her to a motel and left her there.

She was instructed not to make contact with them or try to go back to her house.

After Her Exile, Life

Lauren decided to go to Connecticut and pursue her nursing education after leaving the hate cult. She worked day and night for the following six years as a full-time nurse in her newly adopted state to make ends meet.

Here, Lauren started to slowly adjust to her new life and started to regret all she had done while a member of the Westboro Baptist Church:

“I would prefer it if there was a method to completely erase my time in the WBC and teach me about cults and harmful religions.

Looking back, I don’t even recognize the person I was in many of the pickets I participated in, which makes me feel very guilty.

Beginnings Of Fitness And A Turning Point

Lauren Drain

In 2012 and 2013, Lauren started competing in adventure events like Tough Mudder and the Spartan Races to satisfy her desire for excitement.

Her love for sports was rekindling, and she had a fresh understanding of the fitness sector. She wasn’t thrilled with her appearance, though. The outcast started studying movies and learning about how to get in shape because she was determined to build a figure she would be proud of.

The former Westboro Baptist member entered the field with CrossFit as his entry point. She started out competing locally, where she picked up all of the Olympic lifts and gained excellent cardio stamina in the process.

She was inspired to discover where exercise could lead her as she started to understand what her body was capable of.

Lauren finally discovered happiness after all of the sufferings she had experienced.

“Sexy to me means self-assured and joyful. Any external strength and sexiness are destroyed in my eyes if you are threatening to others or are difficult to approach.

Inaugural Competition

Lauren had increased her stamina through cross-fit, but she wasn’t satisfied with the way her physique looked.

She hired a coach and decided to compete in her first bikini athlete competition at the 2014 WBFF show in Boston after further investigation into the fitness business.

Her life as she knew it would change as a result of this choice.

Even though she only had two weeks to be ready, she was still adamant that she would succeed. She lost 13 lbs in 14 days while preparing for the competition.

She didn’t win, but she had learned a lot about the fitness industry, and she was eager to bring home a prize. She intensified her workouts and focused on competing in additional events.

More Competitions To Enter

To achieve her objective, Lauren worked tirelessly for the following eight months, putting in significant training each day. She kept working nights as a registered nurse to get her Pro Card.

During this time, she participated in five competitions and learned more about the business with each one. She won every contest she participated in, and twice at the WBFF in New York and Boston, she came in second place.

For Lauren, this event turned out to be crucial.

“Seeing images of my development is like putting more fuel to the fire. I advise everyone to take a before shot just for themselves because the results are so incredibly addictive. When your efforts start to pay off, you can’t stop.

Early Errors

Lauren became even more driven to succeed after getting a taste of other contests. She began to review her preparation and saw that she had made some serious errors.

She had overtrained during the preparation period, preventing her body from developing because she wasn’t taking any downtime.

To lose weight more quickly, she had also occasionally under-rated and calculated her macros incorrectly.

As Lauren started to learn from her mistakes, her physical appearance substantially improved.

How To Become A Pro Bikini Athlete

All of her efforts had finally paid off. She won the 2014 WBFF Rhode Island title after several months of arduous training and dieting.

Lauren attained her goal of being a professional bikini athlete at the age of 29 after winning her Pro Card. But she was only beginning.

Only four months later, she joined her first competition at the professional level. She never stopped practicing hard. She finished in a very acceptable fourth place, but she is still adamant that she will be the best.

I enjoy changing my routine because I never want monotony to prevent me from achieving my objectives.

Training (Workout)

Lauren Drain

Lauren Drain works out four days a week to maintain her lean figure, but she doesn’t set out certain days for working out particular muscle groups because she worries about becoming bored with routines.

When keeping up her body, she does aerobic training 4-5 days a week; but, when getting ready for a show, she increases that to 6 days.

She adores working out her legs, and squats are her go-to activity. As she feels that her upper body grows faster when she uses big weights and short reps, she trains her lower body more, paying particular attention to her glutes, thighs, and calves.

“I respect life in general and all sorts of fitness. I can appreciate and support it if you are passionate and full of life.

Nutrition (Diet Plan)

Lauren eats four to five meals a day that include lean protein, good fats, and veggies. The amount of carbohydrates she consumes depends on her goals.

Her preferred diet consists of mostly lean whole foods throughout the year, with one or two cheat meals per week to sate any cravings and jump-start her metabolism. Green tea ice cream is her preferred treat food.

I once looked up to other ladies who afterward earned my contempt by revealing themselves to be egotistical or envious.

Influences And Idols

Lauren Drain is inspired by a variety of sportsmen and fitness figures. She has encountered several of her heroes, though, and was dismayed to find them to be self-centered.

She cited Sue Lasmar, a fellow WBFF Pro, as having had the most impact on her travels:

“I’ve spoken to her a few times now, and not only is she incredibly strong and seductive personified, but she’s also lovely and non-threatening.”

All fear is cast out by perfect love. It is a passage from the Bible. It is my favorite quotation since it encapsulates so many facets of life.
