Lewis Tan Exercise Program
Lewis is a fantastic actor, but he is unquestionably a better-gifted action star. Lewis has already taken on so many big roles that he can be regarded as one of the best action performers working in Britain today. As I’ve said before, I adore action stars since they carry out the majority of action scenes by themselves.
Whether it’s Jackie Jan, Michael Jai White, or Scott Adkins, any actor who is a martial artist will amaze you with the risk they take on for the audience. Lewis, a student of Muay Thai who has been practicing the katana for more than seven years, a skilled user of numerous weapons, and a member of a stunt team, now fits into that category.
Lewis can serve as one example of an action star if you’re looking for a precise definition. What kind of training did the actor do for Mortal Kombat? As I mentioned in Joe’s post, Men’s Health recently conducted interviews with a number of the film’s cast members. Lewis Tan is also mentioned, and you can check the interview right here.
I’ll admit that Lewis’s exercise is difficult and not suitable for novices. Lewis works out six days a week for six hours, doing a variety of activities including Muay Thai, pad work, stunt choreography, wire harness work, weapons training, and weight training. So let’s start the routine right away;
Exercise with Lewis Tan includes:
Warm-up
He stretches extensively to open up every portion of his body that he uses in martial arts, beginning with simple stretches. To create a healthy stretching regimen, combine a few of the stretches Lewis demonstrates in his videos with other stretching exercises.
Later, Lewis engages in shadow boxing, performing the motion while gazing at himself in the mirror. He can then concentrate on his form, mimic the moves, and enhance them on his own.
Pad Exercise
Lewis enjoys working out in a padded environment after the warm-up, performing numerous kicks including sidekicks, ax kicks, tornado kicks, etc. Lewis performs it as gentle training before the intense sparring sessions.
Boxing In Muay Thai
He then participates in a Muay Thai boxing exercise where he engages in a lot of sparring with his trainer. Lewis finds it to be quite demanding and exhausting, but that is one of the key routines.
Weapons Instruction
He performs the weapon training exercise after the sparring workout. As we saw in the movies, Lewis is very skilled with the katana. He has been practicing for more than seven years, and he trains largely with the Katana champion. However, you are free to use any weapon you like or would love to train with.
Wire Harness And Stunt Choreography Training
Lewis practices a lot of fighting choreography while training with the stunt squad. Starting with routine battle sequences, he then raises the stakes by donning a wire harness and performing a variety of air kicks with the help of modern technology and his own body’s momentum.
Strength Training
Lewis doesn’t follow a set plan when lifting weights and uses a variety of exercises. After he completes most of the training, each day is more like a full-body workout.
Lewis does a series of exercises in a circuit fashion without pausing between them. He works his arms by performing workouts like bicep curls, hammer curls, overhead triceps presses, shrugs, shoulder presses, and abs, among others.
The Lewis Tan exercise program is now complete.
