Luke was recruited to play rugby during high school because of his bulky build. He quickly realized that to compete in rugby contests, he would need to develop his power.
This is what inspired Luke to start working out, and at the age of 13, he started weight training with a barbell and some weights in his garage.
Injury
After three years of frequent gym visits, Luke had accumulated a significant amount of muscular mass and had started to shape a desirable figure. However, an injury soon prevented him from continuing.
Luke’s anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee snapped at the age of 16. Luke’s doctor informed him that he needed to give up rugby as a result.
The teenager was compelled to discover another pastime after hearing the devastating news.
“Surgery was required for the injury. Being unable to participate in the two sports that I had grown to love was frustrating to me.
Bodybuilding
Due to his injuries, Luke got dissatisfied with his idleness and angry that he was unable to play rugby, his sport of choice.
He persisted nonetheless, deciding to concentrate on weightlifting. Luke decided to join a gym after training for years in his garage with a barbell and dumbbell set.
He gave bodybuilding all of his attention and quickly fell in love with it. But he realized how little he knew about nutrition.
Luke started his undergraduate studies in physical education because he was determined to pursue a profession in fitness.
First competition

Training
Luke enjoys doing a three-day split of weightlifting in the gym, taking a day off on the fourth day, and then going back for the remaining three days. He believes that this is the best for how his body reacts.
