The flavor and foundation of this recipe are peanut butter. This recipe doesn’t work as well with natural peanut butter (the kind that separates as it sits in the pantry).

Both smooth and chunky peanut butter is acceptable. Use unsalted butter and season it with a little salt.

In this recipe, we use powdered sugar instead of regular sugar since we find that it blends in better and produces smoother fudge.

Although Mini Peanut Butter Cups work exceptionally well in this recipe, you may substitute any other peanut butter treat. Use the pieces of a larger PB cup if you don’t have small cups.

Although optional, a chocolate chip drizzle adds flavor and beauty to the fudge.

Make Peanut Butter Fudge at Home

I advise measuring the ingredients out before beginning because this dish comes together quickly and simply. After that, everything goes smoothly!

  1. Cook butter, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan until well combined.
  2. After removing from the heat, whisk in the powdered sugar (per the recipe below).
  3. To the prepared baking dish, add the fudge. Add desired toppings and spread evenly.

Slice the mini Reese’s cups into thirds, place them on top of the fudge, and then drizzle molten chocolate over everything for optimal results. After that, chill until set.

Topping Options

Even while this simple fudge recipe is fantastic on its own, you may experiment with different toppings to make it unique. Listed below are some of our preferred icings for peanut butter fudge.

  • Pretzels and salty sea air
  • Peanuts, almonds, walnuts, and pecans are all crunchy.
  • Sweet foods include chocolate chip cookies, toffee bits, marshmallows, and melting chocolate (you can add a thin layer to the top or add swirls in the actual fudge).
