Scallops wrapped in bacon are delicious, buttery, garlicky, and soft. Bacon Wrapped Scallops may be prepared as a starter or a major dish and are grillable, boilable, and air fryer compatible!

Why They Are Our Favorites

When three or more scallops are threaded on a larger pick, Bacon-wrapped scallops can be served as an entrée rather than a single appetizer on a little wooden pick.

The bacon lends a wonderful smoky, salty flavor, and the scallops are cooked to perfection in a light garlic butter sauce. For dipping, serve with tart cocktail sauce!

What really brings this recipe to life are the delectable fresh scallops and hearty bacon!

SCALLOPS There are two sizes of scallops: little (bay scallops), which are ideal for mixing into a sauce for pasta, and huge (sea scallops), which are perfect for being the focus of a dish like this one or seared scallops!

BACON Everything is better when it’s wrapped in bacon, right?

SEASONING Butter is combined with garlic, lemon pepper, parsley, salt, and pepper to make the seasoning for these scallops!

How to Prepare Bacon Wrapped Scallops

These are simple to make and always turn out perfectly!

  1. To wrap the scallop, fry bacon till tender but not too crispy.
  2. Before wrapping each scallop in bacon, season it with salt and pepper.
  3. After skewering, cook as desired.

For grilling, cook for 6 to 8 minutes over medium heat.

For broiling, place the food for 8 to 10 minutes, turning the food halfway through.

Cook for 11 to 13 minutes if air frying.

Before wrapping, the bacon is partially cooked beforehand. As a result, the bacon can become crispy without the scallops becoming overcooked.

How to Choose the Best Scallops

  • Scallops should be uniform in size to cook properly. The ideal scallop should be opaque and smell like the ocean.
  • Skewers won’t be scorched during cooking if they are soaked in water for 30 minutes.
  • Pick bacon strips that will wrap around each piece’s sides. You can fit two scallops in one piece of bacon if your scallops are small.
