Your preferred Doritos flavor is piled with cheese, loads of seasoned ground beef, salsa, and sour cream.

This casserole’s base is made with layers of Layered Dorito Casserole, which are then topped with cheese and baked in the oven until bubbling and browned.

Favorite casserole influenced by tacos

  • This recipe, which draws its inspiration from the usual taco casserole, is unique since it includes Doritos.
  • The filling is SO wonderful that I almost wish I could eat it with tortilla chips on its own. It also makes the ideal filler for tacos when topped with your preferred toppings.
  • Add your favorite taco toppings to this dish.
  • Our family adores this taco casserole with Doritos because it is so straightforward to cook.

Use your preferred flavor of Layered Dorito Casserole (I generally use Nacho Cheese) since there are so many to choose from! Try siracha, ranch dressing, or hot and sweet chili!

FILLING A can of condensed soup is combined with cheese, mild or hot salsa, cheese-topped ground beef, and sour cream for tang. It has more flavor and creaminess.

Use premade salsa, store-bought salsa, or even pico de gallo! Although we like making our taco seasoning, a package will do just fine.

Before baking, sprinkle plenty of cheese on top, followed by the usual toppings like shredded lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and sour cream.

Best Recipe Advice

  • Place the Doritos in a bag and manually crush them, but not too finely.
  • To prevent the casserole from being too soupy, drain the fat from the ground meat.
  • Make assembling easier, buy cheese that has already been shredded.
  • To prevent the tin foil from sticking to the top layer of cheese, spray it with cooking oil.
  • For the last 20 minutes, don’t forget to take off the foil. This will aid in the top layer of the dish becoming golden and delicious.
