Biography

Early Life & Negatives

In 1988, Nicole was born in Salt Lake City. In 1993, she relocated to San Diego with her family. When she was 5 and 6, she played softball and soccer, which caused her to experience severe hip discomfort.

She was told when she was 7 years old that she would never be able to run, do gymnastics, or engage in other high-impact activities because she had Legg Calve Perthes Disease.

Niki was given the option of having surgery or six months of leg braces. They flew to ten different medical professionals before settling on one who suggested physical therapy and swimming as treatments.

Niki took the chance at that point. For three years, her father underwent physical therapy with her every night while standing by her side the entire time.

Performing Swimming

Niki was finally ready to participate in sports again after several years of therapy, to the point where she decided to pursue competitive swimming.

Between the ages of 7 and 10, she was able to walk unaided. Niki decided to start cheerleading at this point, making the most of her newly acquired strength.

While in high school, Niki continued cheerleading and also studied acting. because she enjoyed making others happy. Which was also ideal for her high amount of energy because she required a constructive outlet.

Niki kept her love of theater alive after high school by enrolling in psychology at UC Irvine in 2006. She started concentrating on other objectives in college, like exercise and diet.

Defending The Doctors’ Mistakes

When she was younger, the doctors warned her that she would never be able to run.

She, therefore, sought to disprove them. In 2009, Niki completed a triathlon and a three-day breast cancer walk.

She gave Chargers, Ducks, and Kings an audition after receiving her diploma in 2010. Both the San Diego Chargers and the Anaheim Ducks released her in the first round.

She persisted and was able to get a spot on the L.A. Kings Ice Crew.

After that, Niki resumed her acting career while remaining on the crew for 4 years. Niki’s life, however, took a different turn when she developed an interest in participating in bodybuilding competitions.

Niki was finally able to take the stage in her first bodybuilding show after extensive training and coaching.

Initial Bodybuilding Contest

She fell in love with bodybuilding after her first competition in 2014 and decided to share her passion for the sport through personal training.

She had the notion to launch her brand and received her certification in the same year. All of this resulted from her desire to start a charitable, empowering movement in the fitness industry.

Niki, who has a long history of achievement, has emerged as a well-known fitness celebrity who inspires people to lead healthy lives. I enjoy inspiring others in the gym, as Niki puts it.

“More often than not competitors have a whole team of individuals who are experts in their fields, and passionate about what they do.

When you find the good ones, they genuinely love what they do, and helping you reach your goal! I know I would not be where I am today with my incredible team!”

Training

Niki is similar to the majority of professional athletes in that she wants to gain muscle and lose fat. To achieve optimum results, she pays close attention to how her regimen is structured.

Niki usually engages in resistance training with a medium level of intensity.

Niki overworks her body to the point of exhaustion to avoid wasting muscle. She keeps up her health and long-term objectives by doing this.

Influences and Idols

Niki’s Purpose

Niki is glad to state that she has prevailed despite numerous ups and downs, as well as periods of exhaustion and lack of desire, and this is all due to her willingness to go forward and show up at the gym.

Niki discusses the importance of consistency to get your ideal physique in the video below.

Advice from Niki

“Out of the thousands of times I’ve been to the gym in my lifetime there are five times I remember vividly, like it was yesterday and I could walk you through from the moment I parked my car to the moment I left in great detail.

They were life changing workouts, and guess what? Each one of them were also the five times I least wanted to go to the gym, but I went anyway. My point is this, sometimes we all don’t feel like going, duh!

We are tired, lazy, something better came up, you were invited somewhere, you found an excuse by the time 5 pm rolls around and it’s time to go etc.

we all do this, we’re human. But ironically there is something very special that happens when you go anyway.

You push through a wall you may have never imagined you could get through. You find your inner strength.

You realize you can do it. You get closer to your why, which makes you more in line with you soul and purpose. You breath easier, you feel proud. You start to find that consistency pays off.

You start to believe in yourself and release the value of commitment, hard work and dedication. You start to realize anything is possible.” – Niki Zager

“We don’t always succeed the first time around. That’s just life. Often times the greatest accomplishments are not handed to us, it takes hard work, consistency, openness to grow and learn, and never give up! I’m proud to announce that I didn’t give up.”

What Niki Zager Can Teach Us?

What we can take away from Niki Zager is that pursuing a passion requires perseverance and never losing sight of why you started.

Niki ultimately achieved her goal after persevering through countless exhausting gym sessions over weeks.

It could be beneficial to keep Niki’s narrative in mind if you wish to achieve your goals. You never know; it could provide you with the inspiration you need to keep moving forward. As Niki herself put it, “resistance pays off!”

“Before you even step foot in a gym, my advice is to know why you want to start. What is your why? Understand the process doesn’t happen overnight and you must have patience and trust in yourself and your trainer.

There will be days that you don’t want to do it, and those are the best days to do it anyway.” – Niki Zager
