A creamy, fast, and cold dessert in a glass is a peppermint milkshake. This delectably decadent delicacy is easy to make and only takes a few minutes.
There is a new and improved peppermint milkshake in town, so move over to Chick-fil-a!
Ingredients for peppermint milkshakes
Just a few basic components are required, just as with every milkshake.
We start with vanilla ice cream, but other holiday-themed tastes like eggnog or even peppermint ice cream can be used.
The mixture is thinned with a little milk (or even eggnog) to make it a slurp-able delicacy.
Both crushed peppermint (we use candy canes) and peppermint essence are used to create the peppermint flavor in this recipe. Crushed peppermint used as a garnish elevates the milkshake’s level of deliciousness.
Mint extract vs. peppermint
If you only have mint extract, you’ll probably need to add a little more since peppermint extract is stronger than mint extract.
