Who is Rafael Rey?

Born and reared in Brazil, Rafael Rey is an IFBB Pro athlete and fitness model.

Rafael gained notoriety in the sport of bodybuilding by winning the Men’s Physique Class at the 2017 NPC Ohio State.

Rafael Rey, though, wasn’t content with only winning NPC competitions. He flew to the Arnold Classic Ohio the following year as a debut contestant, pushing himself to the limit to see how far he could go, and won again.

Rafael keeps achieving new goals, works as a model, and combines his love of training and nutrition to assist others in achieving their fitness objectives.

“I started working out to boost my confidence! I was so thin, yet I didn’t feel good about how I looked!

Training

Rafael likes to include exercises like the deadlift, weighted pull-ups, military press, squats, and clean & jerk since they help him build the most muscle in his body.

He claims that he may alter his regimen from day to day based on his plans.

Rafael will, however, adhere to a typical 5-day training split with isolation exercises in addition to his typical compound motions if he is training for a fitness competition.

Rafael enjoys isolation exercises because they help him sculpt his body. These exercises allow him to burn body fat when done at a high rep range, much like cardio.

“I like to train one muscle area per day, but as the preparation goes on, my workouts are constantly changing.”

The Top Exercises By Rafael

Rafael Rey

Rafael engages in a variety of workouts regularly, including:

  • Trestle Dips
  • Raising a Hanging Leg
  • Barbell Deadlifts with Stiff Legs
  • Bench Press Bicep Curls
  • Handstand Hammer Curls
  • Curls of Concentration
  • Bar-T Rows
  • Cardio Exercise

Rafael Rey will just do a tiny amount of cardio when he’s not getting ready for a show. This enables him to reach a calorie surplus, which is advantageous for gaining muscle mass.

Rafael will work out more cardio the closer the competition is to him. He will perform cardio exercises for at least 30 minutes every day, except weekends, by the time he is 4 weeks away or closer.

Nutrition

As a professional athlete, Rafael is aware of the importance of diet in developing a stage-ready physique.

He frequently uses the phrase “70% nutrition, 30% training,” since he believes that abs are produced in the kitchen as much as in the weight room.

Diet Low In Carbs

Rafael begins lowering his carb intake as his preparation for the competition comes to a close so that his body may continue to burn fat rather than glucose. He experiences ketosis as a result of this.

Rafael can maintain his hard-earned muscle with this technique while also burning body fat.

To provide his body with the support it needs during this busy time, he also takes protein, vitamin, and mineral supplements.

“My drive to improve every day is what keeps me going! I enjoy excelling at things. I’m not trying to impress anyone! but knowing that I exerted my utmost effort and achieved my objectives!”

What could Rafael Rey Teach Us?

Rafael Rey

Rafael Rey is content with his accomplishments yet perpetually “hungry” for more.

He demonstrated this by winning the 2017 NPC State Ohio; rather than taking some time off afterward, he was already getting ready for the following competition, the Arnold Classic Ohio, which he also won.

He has excelled in both his bodybuilding and fitness modeling careers because of his approach. Rafael now imparts the same values and way of thinking to his followers and anybody else who will listen to him.

Rafael has served as an online inspiration for many people ever since his career took off, demonstrating to everyone what can be accomplished when you set your mind to it.

Rafael Rey may teach us to never accept mediocrity and to believe that we can accomplish anything if we work hard and have a good outlook.
